Soft, warm and excellent value

We bought this bag for our daughter last year for fall and spring camping with Pathfinders (tent camping around zero celsius overnight). She loves it and we've just bought two more for her sister and mom. The separate inner layer and zipper up from the feet give great flexibility for cold and warm weather. The soft, flannel-like lining is cozier and quieter than the polyester/nylon ones that seem very common. At 6lbs, you don't want to carry it long distances, but for car-camping and most Guiding camps it's perfect. An excellent value.

If you want an excellent sleeping bag, this is the one for you. The inner lining makes all the difference. It is light weight and roasty toasty too.

I TRAVEL A LOT, SO I KEEP ONE OF THESE IN MY CAR, TO HELP ME KEEP WARM WHEN SLEEPING AT A REST STOP. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SLEEPING BAGS I OWN. I CAMP A LOT AND I CAN'T WAIT TO BUY ANOTHER TWO BECAUSE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. THE ONLY CAVEAT IS THAT WHEN REMOVING IT FROM THE COMPRESSION SACK THAT IT COMES WITH, THE COMPRESSION SACK BROKE APART INTO MANY PIECES. SINCE THIS BAG IS COVERED BY A GUARANTY YOU CALL THE 800# AND THEY TELL YOU HOW TO RETURN THE SACK FOR A FREE ONE WITHOUT HAVING TO RETURN THE SLEEPING BAG! JUST REMEMBER TO KEEP ALL THE PAPERS THAT COME WITH YOUR SLEEPING BAG!

Great bag for the price

The bag is extremely warm. I took it with me to the rockies and the temp was down in the 20s, but i was actually possibly too warm under the extra padding of the sleeping bag. it's wonderfully warm and i feel the temperature rating is acurate. The lining actually has a nice cotton feel instead of that uncomfortable sleeping bag material a lot of bags have. I love it. The bag also has the option of using some material inside the bag as padding or extra blanketing for warmth, which is nice because it makes it a great all season bag. My boyfriend and i have both used the bag on separate occassions and it's roomy for pretty much any size person. There are drawbacks however. While the bag is extra warm, it is HUGE. It is a pain to get into the compression sack it originally is sold with. My sack actually broke around the 3rd or 4th use trying to shove the bag back in, but you can buy a nicer compression sack for relatively cheap from REI or somewhere. It's kind of a heavy bag, so i wouldn't recommend it for the minimalist, but for car camping or light treks, it's a wonderful bag. I love it! I've owned the bag for close to 3 years now and i use it frequently. It definitely is just as good as the day i bought it, and i don't think you could get a better bag for the price...smaller maybe, but as warm and comfortable, no way!

This sleeping bag was very warm and toasty. The inner fleece lining was nice and cozy. My daughter used this bag one time and the zipper broke. We haven't been able to use it again. I don't know if perhaps I got a defective one, but I had much higher hopes from the Coleman name.

What a pain...

This sleeping bag is actually great! I would say this is more a women's bag then men's but not limited. I love the bag as it is warm and offers the inside liner to cover with or lay upon. The one main issue with the bag is the stuff sack. When I first got this bag and attempted to remove it from the sack the handle on the sack tore off. Then when trying to put the bag back into the sack not only was it very difficult (almost to big for the stuff sack) but the compression strap broke. Other then that the sleeping bag is great!

Nice product. Just be ready to break a sweat rolling it up and putting it bag in the storage bag.

Not worth it

The material and insulation quality seems good, bag would be compfortable. However, the zipper failed on the first outing, complete piece of junk. Further the zipper leaves about a 1 inch gap at the base of it, leaving an "in" for cold air or bugs. The outer jacket material isn't rugged enough, so this product is not for any serious outdoorsman.
