I bought one of these cheap at a thrift store and put it on a shelf in my classroom that students can go to when they finish assignments early. Now it is always the first thing they run to. Especially boys love to play with it. I just bought one for my children at home, ages 3 and 5, and they too love it. So simple a toy, but so many creative uses- what a toy should be! There are very few out there like this! I just wish they sold refills for the tiny metal parts!
I bought this for my 7year old grandson for Christmas and it was a great hit. All the kids wanted to play with it. He carried it everywhere. Of course, there are lots of tiny pieces but easy to pick up with the magnet base.
This sounded like such a cool thing for my son. Once we began trying to put things together we found out differently. The metal pieces do not want to hold together. We can get them to hold to the base, but anything on top of that is nearly impossible. We have not played with it since that first time.
