Great inexpensive boat

Great boat for the price. Inflates in less than 10 minutes with hand pump. Two kids 9 and 11 could paddle well on calm lake. Not a $500 boat, but is durable and perfect for weekend camp outs. I would recommend a better paddle than the $9 four piece inflatable paddle we purchased, it is junk.

This is the second Coleman inflatable that I have owned. I absolutely love it. It handles well on the water, and is tough enough for me to take down the river with no worries. I would recommend this boat to anyone who is looking for an inexpensive, lightweight alternative to a traditional canoe.

I ordered this kayak for friends or family to use while I was belly boat fishing. We took it camping along the Colorado river last week and took it through class 1 and class 2 rapids! It handles well and it was esy for me to control from the back seat position. It actually handled better in moving water than flat. It inflates easily (make sure you pump up the floor first). Well constructed and very fun kayak. Can't go wrong for the price. I recommend this kayak to anyone who doesn't want to pay the high price for a similar type of kayak.

We used this kayak for the first time today. We took it from island to island in the Gulf of Mexico around the Bradenton area of Florida. It is perfect...we have a Honda Civic so a regular canoe or kayak was out the question. This one is so easy to inflate with the 12V Coleman Inflator, only takes about 5 minutes and then we used the deflate option to take it down. It held all our fishing gear. You will get wet, but who cares, keeps you cool in the hot June Florida sun. The hardest thing is to get in and out. We used an old army duffle bag to put it in and it fits perfectly in the trunk. We recommend this as a cheap alternative to a regular canoe or kayak. We will take this kayak on many more fishing trips!

I have owned this product for over a year, and I can say that it exceeds expectations in all areas. The built is durable. The kayak is well designed and its made of several diferent compartments that are inflated individually, so if you puncture a hole on it, you only loose one compartment, and the kayak stays a float. Being made of plastic/rubber it can be easily repaired at home (note - I have not had any holes ooccur yet). It handles very well with one person aboard. I tried it with 2 adults but it becomes unstable. I'd say it is good enough for one adult and one child, or 2 children or the best use in my opinion: ONE ADULT. This product has given me HOURS of entertainment for a very reasonable cost all over the lakes of oregon. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

Was not meant for ocean, but worked great. Just got back from a week in Belize. Took out to reef & used home-made anchor to keep in place while snorkeling. Can't beat it for the price. Even ran into reef & it did not tear. Great Product.

I thought this kayak was good purchase. I loved taking down the river with my friend, it felt very puncture proof as we ran into some thickets. On that note it is a little hard to maneuver because it is inflatable instead of a solid structure, but its not really all that hard. The paddles i felt were a little flimsy cause they were long, so i just disconnected one and used half of it because they are half way decent paddles. This kayak is lots of fun and i won't forget the experiences i've had on it. Buy it!

For the price the kayak is acceptable. It didn't steer very well. A lot of over correcting. It wasn't like the real thing but it served the purpose and I went quite a ways with it. Not good in the wind at all. I put a 10 year old in the front. Not much room for legs up there. I also found it difficult to get out of. All in all it was still a nice product for just goofing off in.

These Kayaks were purchased strictly on price. They are an incredible value for the money, and cost considerably less through Wal-Mart site-to-store (free shipping!) than from the Coleman site. We have on-board air on our Jeep, so they inflated in just seconds. I don't know how my review would be different if I was inflating them with a foot pump or some other method. That could be a consideration. They seem extremely sturdy and survived their maiden voyage of four days' use without any ill effect. We used them on calm and fairly-calm water on two lakes. They were just fine for all mixes of passengers; two children, two adults, one adult, one child, and one of each. When the children (teens, age 13 actually) went out alone, they found it most efficient to paddle while kneeling instead of sitting in the front seat. The only negative seems to be the odd placement of the rear set of paddle holders, which are heavy rubber black hooks affixed to each side. I found that I hit them with the paddles while paddling, and had to re-adjust my stroke slightly to avoid them. Not a big deal, but could be an issue if you were going to be out for an extended time. And plan on getting wet; if there's a way to paddle without dripping paddle water all over yourself, I sure don't know it. Use the money you're saving by purchasing these great kayaks to buy some life vests, and go have some fun on the water!

I was impressed by how cheap it was. It was the cheapest inflatable that I could find any where. I loaded it up with all my fishing gear and it handled well. The only thing was that it didn't track that well. It could use a fin or two then it would be perfect. It only took me 8 to 10 min. to pumb it up with a hand pumb. Over all I was satisfied by the product.
