Painted all 3 of my kids' rooms and I am very happy with this paint. I applied 2 coats total with allowing the first one to dry 24 hrs. Love it!!!! Now I am trying to pick a color for our living room and I will definatelly use ColorPlace again! Can't beat the price and it for sure meets my expectations. Easy and great to clean up as well, I even got some paint on my carpet :(, but immediatelly took some carpet cleaner to it and got the paint out no problem and you can not even tell where it was. Easy clean up!
I can't complain about this product. I was a little hesitant to purchase the Walmart Color Place since I typically use Behr, but the Walmart Paint Associate highly recommended the paint for the quality and price. Since I was working on a relatively small budget, I took her recommendation. In the end, I saved over $150 in paint, and I ended up with truly the perfect color I had been looking endlessly for months. The only downside as a painting novice, I had to retouch some walls where the paint needed extra coverage. Highly recommend it for the finish product and price.
I'm covering pink walls and alot of them so the fact that I am going to need several coats to cover the pink is not money or time efficient.
I should have read ALL the reviews before I bought 5 gallons of the interior flat, it could have saved time, money, etc. Unfortunately, I painted 2 bedrooms the kitchen and living room with a white (including the ceilings) -- the white looks like multitude shades of grey. A couple of coats does not do the trick (waiting a day between coats). I prepped with Zinsser primer, used paint pads, then switched to a roller hoping for better coverage on the walls. I haven't attempted to put a second coat on the ceiling, I figured I better find a new paint
DO NOT BUY THIS PAINT!! It went on spotty and did not cover well.
This is the worst "paint" I've ever used. Calling it paint is giving it too much credit! It's more like tinted water! It was so messy, I spent more time cleaning up than actually painting! I will never try to save money and get the cheap paint again! Next time it's Glidden or a better brand but never color place ever again! The coverage is terrible! Two coats doesn't even cover!
I have painted many rooms in my life and some required 2 coats to cover the old color. This paint has 3 coates and a fourth is still needed and therefore any gallon of junk in a can. And make no mistake, the old color was not a dard color and the new color is not light. I have used this paint many times and many colors. It WAS a reasonable paint at a good price but not any more. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT...junk in a can !
I have been a HUGE fan of color place paint every since the child's play paint was discontinued. I have to say I just bought a can of color place flat interior wall paint three days ago and I am so disappointed. It went on we'll but it peeled off the walls like a rubbery substance when I took my tape off. Really not happy with this!
I bought this paint to paint a small bedroom. I am selling the house so I didn't want to spend much money. Well guess what, I should have as I ended up having to buy 3 gallons of this junk and having to do a second coat and third coat which I shouldn't have had to do. In the end I spent just as much money and twice the time to paint the room.
This paint is a great price and goes on beautifully. It's a thinner paint and very forgiving- leaves a nice smooth surface and the flat paint is flat. Coverage is complete with two coats. That's the only good, and believe me, the bad outweighs all of this! I had a midtone dusty blue mixed using the light base (one of the ColorPlace colors#. I bought 4 gallons of it. Very, very unfortunately, I discovered after painting two huge rooms, that it has no binders in it at all. The tint is just loosely suspended in the paint and not bound to it, so if someone/ something rubs up against the wall, the color gets darker, and if you wash the wall #which you always must do at some point), even just a water dampened cloth and a gentle wipe will remove ALL the tint and leave a white wall behind. Horrible, unacceptable quality at any price. I will never buy it again, nor would I ever recommend it... unless you are painting with the stock white color.
