I HAVE PURCHASED THIS PAINT NOW FOR 10 YEARS AND I LOVE THE COLOR .ITS EASY TO PUT ON AND DOES COVER WITH 1 COAT ..I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS
All I can think is people reviewing this poorly for being watery are not thoroughly shaking the can before use. No matter what I use, I shake the can (swing it vigorously) before opening, not just using a stir stick once opened. I've used very expensive paints, all various brands, this one and other cheap paints, over the last 20 years. Never had to use a second coat. The satin & semigloss are washable, but use common sense. I love this paint and for the price it cannot be beat.
I miss the 5 gallon deals. So far my wife says this is her favorite paint. We have done multiple houses with this paint. For the price this the best deal out there. Other paints we've used smelled and took longer to dry. My wife being the perfectionist prefers to do multiple layers versus one thick layer. Attention #walmar:t bring back the 5 gallon bucket please.
I have used many different brands of paint. I love Color Place. I have been a professional painter and also paint for myself ( usually a room every year to two years gets painted) We bought a house a year ago and I painted every room( 12 feet tall) Also I do 2 coats but I do that with all paints. Getting ready to do another house and going paint color shopping tomorrow!!
I have been painting for 20 years, and a few years ago i had a few apartments to paint- i went through 20 gallons of this paint and after seeing that it was a fair product for the money, i'de say every now and then i wind up using this paint. depending on the color and condition of the walls and ceiling being painted 2 coats will do- and the same goes with other paints. if bare sheet-rock is being painted i suggest using a primer- i use a primer with all paints. i give this product a 3 ,because it is workable --
I used this to paint the interior of a closet. It seemed like the walls just suck it right up, as coverage wasn't that great with just one coat. I had a little extra to touch up the nail spots where primer still showed through the next day. I can live with the one coat as it's in a closet and would be covered by a closet organizer but definitely would not recommend this paint for rooms that are inhabited regularly.
It is like water it does not cover it is a waste of your time and money. I am returning the other gallon I purchased... Water color paint is better than this ....
This is the worst paint ever. It's $10 bucks per gallon which you may think it's a pretty good deal but it is not. I bought it to paint a small nursery room in my house, (never heard of Color Place before and by quickly reviewing it online at the store it appeared to be decent) anyway, ended up having to buy two gallons of paint because it is so watery and light that I finished it up right before giving the walls a second coat. It takes a long time to dry and it doesn't look even. It looked so messy that I had give some of the walls 4 coats!!!! For what I read it's not "washable" so it may come off if I try to clean it up. Great! We'll buy our paint from Lowes from now on, a little bit more expensive but you get what you pay for, easy to use high quality paint.
This is the worst paint I have ever used.It does not cover no matter how many coats are applied.A complete waste of money
This paint is not what it used to be. I used this paint for years in apartments that I own and it covered fine. Now It won't even cover the same color that was on the walls before. Waste of valuable time and money.
