It is simple to put together, but VERY tedious!!! It took 4 hours!!! It is a pretty cabinet when finished, but you should ship it assembled.
Thought it would be a little bigger
All in all it is an ok item for the price. The item arrived with a damaged side panel that had gouges/rub markes in it due to poor packing. There was no filler between various parts so they rub against each other in shipping. Manufacturer shipped me replacement part and I just finished assembling it. Pretty easy to assemble.
The parts for this cabinet were not labeled with stamps or stickers. I had to guess which part I was working with based on the instruction drawings. I've put together plenty of flatpack furniture before so I was not terribly upset about that, but a novice buyer would probably have a lot of trouble. After it was all put together, I discovered that standard hanging files do not fit in this cabinet. The hanging rods are too far apart. I have not tried legal size folders yet. If those don't work I don't know what else to do. The drawer handles are a complete joke. I bought my own handles and put them on. Overall, it's decent. The size and price are OK. The material seems like it will survive occasional use, but not much more. I've already assembled this thing, so I can't return it. I would not recommend this cabinet for someone who needs to access their hanging files on a daily basis.
