I purchased this little dryer while shopping at walmart I didnt even know what I was buying I had never heard of this dryer before I just seen the comb on it and thought I would give it a try. All I could say after my first hair drying with it was where have you been all my life conair hair designer? I have very frizzy curly hair and no hair dryer has ever dried my hair straight until I tried conair hair designer my hair dried straight and not frizzy at all and in half the time of my larger hair dryer. Did I mention I love this hair dryer lol. Im buying a extra for back up I never ever want to be without this dryer I dont have to fry my hair anymore with the staighten iron after I blow dry. Thank you conair and please never stop making these little dryers.
I never thought anything would fix this hair of mine. And believe me, I have tried them all! I have thick hair,uneven curls, & because of it being died to cover my gray it is frizzy especially if I use a hair dryer on it...always looks out of control. That is until now. It only took me a couple of uses to get it figured out the easiest way to get what I wanted. Honestly.....Fantastic results. I was hestitant on the price but had a 30 day trial so went for it. Best investment I made in a long time. Worth every dollar! The little knob on the end, doesnt seem neccessary though. My hair is finally straight, thin, and soft!!! I do recommend a hot oil treatment every once in a while and a good daily conditioner to help keep down the split ends. But that is even true with any electric hair appliance you use on a regular basis, right? Problem hair??????? GO FOR IT!
I love this hair dryer/styler it is small, easy to handle, plus inexpensive. Would buy another one if anything ever happened to this one.
I got this product about three years ago. I have very long hair. About average thickness. Wavy, not curly. It dried my hair in half the time of a blow drier. I always had trouble with blow driers causing my hair to frizz and puff out. Not with this one. It lasted me three years until I tried to use it in an old hotel room and it shorted out, burning the little motor. But I consider that a decent time.
I love these. I have coarse, wavy hair and my whole life I have struggled to keep it under control. This is the only thing that does it successfully. And my hair is still full of volume, but not frizzy. I have to use this every time I style my hair. When I use a blow dryer, my hair will get straight, but it goes flat. The only problem is that I have to buy a new one every 6 months. They do not last. I use it once every 2 or 3 days and I am careful with it. I don't abuse it or anything. But after about 6 months, the motor gives out. I wish it wasn't so expensive to replace, but I have to have it.
I bought this item as a gift for my niece. She has EXTREMELY curly hair. It doesn't completely straighten her hair, she does need a flatiron for that. However, for in-between shampoos, it works excellent for re-straightening and styling. If you have wavy or semi-curly hair, this product works very well.
For people with natural curly hair, there is no other hair dryer/styler that can beat the performance of this one.
Worked nicely on my hair - thick & curly. I started with wet hair & it dried hair pretty quickly also taming them simultaneously. It took away the rigid curls quickly but did not really straighten them. I got a pretty good natural wavy finished look. For a clean straight hair look I had to use my traditional straghtening iron to rule away my waves. Overall a timesaving aid to you hair straightening routine. Works well as one.
OK - it seemed like a pretty expensive toy, but I've got long, very curly but not kinky hair. I love the look of a straight "do" but RARELY took the time because it just takes too long. This product works really well, and I really don't even need to run over the hair with an iron when I'm finished. It took me 12 minutes to do my hair this morning and I've gotten rave reviews at work. That's a lot more time than I usually spend getting ready in the morning . . .usually let the heater or A/C in the car dry my hair on the way to work . . . So if you're low maintenance but want something that works without a lot of fuss, this is your tool!
Purchased this for a birthday gift with the understanding that due to COVID , a return date was extended beyond 2020. Further research shows a by return date of 30 days. Ugh! Besides this appliance does NOT perform as shown. Would Not recommend to anyone.
