I have been using Corelle dishes for 36 years. Very durable. Never broken a piece yet. I updated to a solid white set about 15 years ago. My set that I have had since 1976 are in our 5th wheel. My daughter-in law was always impressed wth my Corelle dishes but wanted a set with an up- to- date style. So I went with the Square Simple Lines.
I bought this dinnerware set as a bridal shower gift from the Walmart Registry. I love Corelle Dinnerware for its durability and great price. I bought a similar set for my son and daughter-in-law when they started college over 15 years ago and it still looks like new after all this time and two grandkids abuse later. I also loved being able to order online and have the item shipped to store for pickup. Quickest and easiest way to get the right gift!
I have been looking at these dishes for several years and finally purchased them. When I saw the the 32 place setting for a discount price I decided to buy them. They go perfectly with my kitchen and dining room decor. I love the durability. I was using stoneware that showed every scratch. I would definately recommend these to everyone.
Best dishes ever, simple - clean lines and classy. I can use these for everyday and also dress up the table for special occasions as it goes with most colors. Worth the money, I bot 2 sets. I don't like heavy stoneware and these are easy to use and clean.
I am really happy with these dishes made by Corelle. I love the simple design and the lightweight. They fit nicely in the microwave and wash up beautifully. My bad cat who love to knock things on the floor pawed two plates and my heart did a flip. The dishes were not damaged. I rate these dishes very highly, am completely satisfied.
Could not love these dishes more - the shape, size, design, durability - absolutely love them! In fact, my sister liked mine so much she actually bought the same set for herself!
I have used Corelle dishes forever. My previous set was about 30 years old and I just wanted to update the style. I will say the quality and craftsmanship is not in any way as good as my old dishes, but I knew this when I ordered. Plates are not 'true', some a little warped. Lines are not done that well either...some areas lighter than others and 'breaks' in the lines as well. For every day use, they are just fine. Lighter than stoneware, which is a big plus. I would recommend these dishes if you don't expect perfection. If you want perfection, you will be very disappointed.
These dishes are absolutely wonderful. They're pretty, light weight, microwaveable, and dishwasher safe. I am a little concerned about the microwave instructions indicating that they can't get too hot. They have done well in the microwave with everything so far. I think they are a very good buy for everyday use.
My whole family is loving this set of Corelle dishes. After shopping around at a few other discount stores and online, this was the best price. The pattern makes dishing up dinner for the family fun because it all looks so elegant. We have 4 kids, so I wanted the lightweight of Corelle so they can help clear and set the table. My three year old says, "These are my favwit new pwates." :) I agree. I knocked one star off the overall rating because some of the plates are not perfectly uniform, but only if you look closely when they are stacked in the cupboard.
Well, let me start by saying that I LOVE Corelle. My previous set lasted years, I just wanted to update my pattern when I registered for this for my upcoming wedding. I received 3 sets and upon opening I found that the lines on both size plates were not sharp or shiny. They had a grayish color to them and appeared almost checkerboard when you looked at them closely and felt rough to the touch. The bowls and mugs looked like I expected the entire set to look... Clearly defined and shiny black lines, but the plates looked like something one might find in a dollar store. I thought it might have only been that one set, but all three sets looked the same way. (And I know from the gift receipts that one was even purchased in a different store so it's apparently not that isolated of a problem...) Needless to say I'm VERY dissappointed! I based my entire dining room registry around these plates and now I'm not sure what I'll do.
