I purchased these dishes because someone told me they were lightweight. I have fibromyalgia with extreme weakness and pain in both of my hands and wrists, arms. we had been eating everything on salad plates because I could not hold a dinner plate. they are lightweight enough for us to eat dinner on a dinner plate and durable enough for me to lose my grasp while washing (( I cant hold on to anything either) I was surprised to find the cups were a little bit heavier than the rest of the set but they are still lighter than a regular mug or stoneware. They are attractive. corelle has come a long way. I remember when my mother used them. HAHA
Such a beautiful set of dishes. I love them. They are durable too because they are made by Corelle and I've had Corelle ware since in the 1970's. They went through my three children and then my seven grandchildren. Never lost a dish. Fantastic! I expect the same wear from this set.
Love this set! I grew up with the plain white Corelle dishes and always thought of them as cheap- until now. The set looks just like the picture and they are beautiful. Someone else mentioned that the smaller plates are really big enough to be dinner plates and I agree. The large plates are very large- almost like platters. I think this whole set is fabulous. I love the square shaped bowls and cups. I would recommend this set to anyone who wants dishes with a classy look but has the durability to last- no chips and difficult to break.
We are very happy with the dishes. One thing with Corelle is that when they are stacked in the cupboard they appear warped. The pattern is very pretty and the mugs are large and coffee or tea stay very hot. The pattern is very neat and looks well in a table setting.
I was so excited when I placed the order for the Corelle Square Pretty Pink 16 pc dinnerware set. The price and availability could not be matched by any other local or online retailers. It was carefully packaged, shipped and received in excellent condition. The ordering process was easy and fast. This customer is very satisfied with the Walmart Online Purchase. And I love my new dishes.
I love these dishes. The square design is definitely changes things up a bit. The plates are much larger than I expected, which is a great feature. The small plates are not much smaller than the larger ones, and often get mistaken for the dinner plate. Having teenage boys, I've gone through several sets of dishes over the last few years, as they have managed to chip the plates within days of purchasing them. Thus, I made the decision to purchase the Corelle dinnerware set since they are chip and break resistent. I couldn't be happier with my decision and would recommend these to anyone with children and/or teenagers.
16-piece set for under $100. These look like they will really last and I don't think I'll have to worry about chipping like my last set of a different type. So far they are wearing great and I shopped around and this was the best price on the very same dishes. My mom had Corelle dishes when I was growing up and they lasted forever. I'm hoping these do the same!
My domestic partner wanted this set, so naturally I had to accomaodate her. this set was her choice to replace our old one. She is quite estatic about our aquisition.
I recently had an arm and wrist injury that no longer allowed me to lift my everyday pottery. The Corelle is durable, lightweight and yet so light to lft. This square design is very classy and has so much space! The luncheon plates are large and I often eat dinner on them. This size would be useful for portin control!. I have added the French White design for platters, and accessories such as sugar and creamer, salt and pepper.
I just feel in love with this corelle square plate and actually I bought ten sets and I have four sets of this Pretty Pink Style alone. The time got it I have to check them all hoping everything is perfect so beautiful piece that I can't resist to use the first set right away, but almost everything because the last box has one broken cup I thought maybe broken in shipping so I was looking for the broken part but it's not there. That means they pack it originally broken. The Quality Controler (QC) and the Packer mistakenly pack it. Now what should I do with one broken piece while the Walmart near to us is not having this style in store? Hope they will do there job well and not leave us (the buyer) be in this situation. All together the Corelle Pretty Pink Style squares is very beautiful, durable and presentable. I would recommend this to everyone. I could give this a five star if not the QC and Packer's mistake.
