Fully expected to be disappointed and return this product but was VERY SURPRISED. It is sturdy, matches perfectly and a great value. Stores easily - we love it.
I bought this so my wife (and I) can reach the top cabinets easily in her newly remodeled kitchen. She has strong ideas about what she does and doesn't like, and seems quite happy with this Christmas present. This item looks very nice, the dark wood was what I needed to fit with our cherry wood cabinetry. It seems sturdy and well-made, no concerns about it falling apart or breaking. It is about exactly what I hoped and expected it would be, and a reasonable buy ($63.45 with free - and very prompt - home delivery). It is a little heavy, around 25 lbs, but I think that means quality in this case. I would have bought the two-step version to make it easier to handle and store, but it just won't work for the highest cabinets we need to access. This seems just right for our situation. At any rate, I need to add some sliders on the feet of the legs to make it a bit quieter and easier to handle on our tile floor. Once that is done, I'd say we are very satisfied.
Delivered without damage and ahead of estimated schedule. It's sturdy and stable. And, this is the first ladder I've owned that looks like a piece of good furniture. Finally means I don't have to go get one of the paint stained ones from the garage every time I need to...

Looks really nice. Works well and is holding up under our usage. It is a little heavy and the steps are pretty close together. I have missed the bottom step a couple of times since they are close together. Overall......a good product.
I wanted a dark wood attractive ladder for my master closet...this is the ONLY one I could find on the Internet. I am 5"11 and I can reach up to 10 ft. ceilings...that being said, I will keep this ladder. When the ladder is folded flat for storage - I see NO LATCH to keep steps folded flat....so the ladder's steps easily fall back into a ladder if I don't set it up against the wall just right to keep steps from falling back into a ladder. Otherwise, this is a nice, heavy weight, attractive step ladder.
This is a very attractive step stool; however, it is extremely heavy considering it's just a step stool. I bought it for our master closet as a way to quickly and easily reach clothes we have stored out of normal reach. This stool is quite heavy and cumbersome; therefore, it is not something to easily use repeatedly on a daily basis. Plus, it was not easy to fold it down. I ended up having to set it down on the ground while struggling with the lever to figure out how to collapse it. I ended up bending the darn lever b/c the instructions read "Push to fold, but I didn't know whether to push down, push up, or push in. I can't recommend this and will be returning it.
