With thousands of customers' feedback in mind, Cotopaxi created the second-generation Allpa 35L Travel Pack: a lighter and more durable version of Cotopaxi's best-selling backpack system built for all types of exploration. This pack is perfectly sized for carry-on convenience, loaded with well-designed features, and tough enough to handle years of use. The Allpa 35L's shell is made from a blend of tough, TPU-coated 1000D polyester, with durable 840D ballistic nylon paneling. Cotopaxi then adopted the low-profile harness they use for their backpacking packs to create a suspension system that distributes weight and keeps you comfortable through journeys near or far. The system includes contoured shoulder straps for comfort and balance, plus a removable hip belt you can take off when you don't need it, or for when you're stowing the pack in tight compartments. A breathable, flexible airmesh back panel and an adjustable sternum strap create an even more comfortable carry. There's a suitcase-style, full-wrap zipper opening on the main compartment that opens into a large, zippered mesh compartment on the right side and a subdivided zippered mesh compartment on the left. These compartments open outward for easy and organized packing, and now feature an updated zipper gusset to create dynamic compression. This compression makes it easier to zip your Allpa closed when it's packed tight. Two zippered pockets round out the top. Padded laptop and tablet sleeves are accessible via the exterior right-side zipper. On the left side, there's a shortcut zipper that provides access to the main internal compartment, without having to take the pack off your back. A subdivided compartment on the top is designed with passports and other small essentials in mind. As a security measure, all external zippers feature theft-proof webbing sewn across the openings. A slotted back panel houses the shoulder straps, ensuring loose ends are a non-issue in overhead bins, on the bus, or in the trunk of cars. Additionally, four reinforced grab handles provide multiple carry points when the shoulder straps are tucked away, and four lash points at the top of the pack allow you to carry more gear. I loved the color. Inside, there are many compartments where I can organize my trip with all the essentials I need. There are small pockets, a laptop pocket, and easy access to the backpack through the lateral zipper. It's a great bag for 3-4 days.
After much debate and denial, I finally replaced a bag I had had for 15 years with the Cotopaxi 35L. After 4 days in Europe, I'm already LOVING my choice! It's decivibg/ it holds way more than I expected. And the front pocket is big enough for all my goodies I could need accessible on a flight. The bag fits under my seat. The only downside is no water bottle holder on the outside. Wish that was built in.
My family owns two 28L, one 35L and one 42L. I use the 35L pack. It's large, reliable, and is the perfect carry-on for traveling. I have used it for trips by car, train & plane. It's also great for hiking!
Just got back from a weeklong trip in Mexico and this pack was perfect- held so much stuff, was super comfortable to wear and durable in many different scenarios. Highly recommend

I've bought several bags for travel that offer's compartments and can move seamlessly through long journeys. This one is the most efficient and comfortable that delivers on its promised features. Plus it's just so much fun, I bought a second one for my wife!
I have heard so many good reviews about this backpack and I decided to give it a try. I love the front rubbery feeling of the bag and the design in general. It is well made and it fits on my back perfectly. The color palette is on point and I can't wait to travel with it! Oh and it also came with a bright orange plastic cover in case there's rain!☔️
Absolutely love the color combo! It's everything I could hope for in a travel backpack since I'm a heavy packer and it's basically a suitcase. Love all the adjustable straps and padding as well, completely customizable for everyone!
We bought these bags for a 3.5 week backpacking trip through SE Asia and they were perfect!! It fits SO much, the pockets are really well thought out to organize and was a breeze to fly with as a carry on. The straps provide a lot of support and were easy to use and are great you can hide or keep them out. I loved the laptop pocket on the back and the access zipper on the back to the main pocket. It made it a breeze it get to items you needed in the bag without having to unzip and open the entire thing. Additionally, the zippers close through a loop on the backpack that helps with anti-theft protection, you'll definitely feel if someone is trying to tug something open (although we didn't have to worry about that at all on the trip, it's a nice thoughtful feature). We really love this bag and are so happy with the purchase. I'll be using it for all of my trips going forward as it works as a carry on!
The colour desert I ordered when arrived doesnt have the same colour as advertised on the website. I expected a light bright beige but got something more of a khaki instead. The zippers are hard to zip even with the bag empty.
