Since I find myself always reaching for the same pot-holder, probably made over 30 years ago out of these cotton loopers (probably at a summer camp!), I thought I'd buy a bag and the frame and make some myself! It is a restfull and easy craft - the key is to stretch tight loops first, before putting on to frame. I made at least 10, and found the colors just fine (basically primary; mostly red/white/blue/yellow). Saw a nice demo on YouTube that made it easier as well!
The item came quickly and as advertised. I'll probably purchase it again.
I like why I got . Cotton is nice to work with.
Exactly what I needed for my little friend's Christmas.
The children were very creative in what they made with the loops.
The refill loops are as expected. My young granddaughters enjoy making nice potholders with them. A fun weaving craft activity that is actually useful.
These loops were hard to find locally, so I was glad to find them in the catalog. They seemed like a good value at the time, but they were difficult for even my older campers to use because they didn't stretch enough. They became frustrated with having to have counselors help them all the time. My counselors were disappointed with how they looked - not a very good variety of colors and those in the bag were unattractive.
Disappointed at quality of product. Could only use about 40 percent of 3 packages on the standard size loom. Loopers were undersize and I was unable to stretch them to fit. [...]
Had & loved one as a kid, bought to share with neighbor girls (6 & 11). They loved it, but I was glad I checked it out first. Many loops too short to use or uneven thickness so they broke - just not good quality. Their mom loved the potholder, though - thought it looked rustic! Expensive for the quantity and quality. The whole kit made 1 potholder after sorting unuseable loops.
the bands doesn't stretch across the loom. the edges are extremely frayed, colors are dull.
