My daughter complained of skin and nose irritation caused by dry air. So we picked up a humidifier at the local discount store. After a week, we discovered a couple of key things wrong with our choice - small water capacity, hard to fill, and little bit loud when running (at least, loud for her). We looked at the mega online store and read several reviews. The Crane 1 Gal Top Fill looked like the perfect solution. We've had it for nearly a month and daughter loves it. When the weather is cold and heaters are running, adding humidity is essential. With the first humidifier we'd bought, she was having to fill twice per day. With the Crane, filling is now once every two days. She's 24 yo and doesn't use the nightlight or the white sound, though we checked out both features and found both to be pleasant experiences, but she's extremely sensitive to light and sound. The Crane humidifier quietly sits in the corner on her bookcase (we found a black open-stock dinner plate at the discount store that makes an attractive tray to protect the wood surface), keeping her room at a perfect 50% humidity. The Crane costs a little bit more than the first humidifier we bought, but not a budget-breaker and we anticipate it will provide comfort for at least 2-3 years. It was definitely worth the difference.
I love this new & improved version of the drop humidifier. It is easy to fill with water, it can change colors, has the option for essential oils AND it's a sound machine. There are so many bonuses with this version. I do have the 1 gal drop humidifier as well, but I definitely prefer this version.
i bought this because of my sons asthma. This has helped him alot since i put it in he doesn't get dry n have a hard time breathing anymore. He sleeps all night now
after always having a really dry nose , I purchased this crane cool mist humidifier. and I love everything about it! it has sound features, light features and the best thing about it is it's whisper quiet! and what a difference it makes. I highly recommend it especially for a bedroom
I've been a longtime fan and frequent user of Crane products and I'm always so excited when new products come out. Just when I think they can't be topped Crane outdoes themselves! The new 1 gallon 4-In-1 top fill Drop Cool Mist Humidifier is a must have in any home for so many reasons! It's sleek modern look make it compatible with any decor and it's easy to use functions make it a no brainer! The top fill feature is by far my favorite new feature for our Crane humidifier collection. It's easy to quickly fill and holds a whopping gallon making it last longer between fill ups. It's easy to clean wide top is great for avoiding hard to reach areas and detachable cord is a bonus. Easy to operate buttons for speed ensure you can control output to your liking and with a 24 hour run time and automatic shut off when water runs out make it one less thing to worry about overnight. It's so quiet I forget it's on! Have kids? No problem you are covering with the perfect amount of light in the color changing night light feature. Need noise? No problem! The sound machine feature has you covered whether you prefer rain, ocean sounds or just white noise. I'm a huge fan of the added aroma tray which adds a lovely fresh scent to any room it is in. I'm excited to upgrade all our humidifiers to these amazing new 4-In-1 design even though the other styles are still great after years of use!
It definitely helps me sleep better. The sounds are great, the settings are good to be able to change it and the colors of lights are really cool. I wish the scent pads lasted longer though
Absolute love this humidifier for my bedroom. It's super easy to fill without having to take it apart. It works great; isn't required to turn on high in order to feel the relief of congestion or dryness. Personally, the lights are a bit too bright for me to sleep with on so I like that they can be turned off. I have used the sound machine function off and on as well. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a quality humidifier on a budget.
I had purchased in the past the original Drop Mist humidifier. I saw this new one and wanted to try it. On the original drop the cord is a hassle and filling can be a little pain. I love the top fill since it is easy and simple to refill quickly and quietly which is great when you loved ones may be asleep in the room. I also love the detachable cord. No risks of tripping or getting it damp. The night lights are red or blue. The noise machine is easy to control, with a handful of typical sounds to pick from. The humidifier mist itself has 3 settings, low , med., high. This is the one feature I wish was like the older original drop model. I preferred the dial adjustor where you can real control the amount of humidity. On this model there doesn't seem to be a big difference between settings.
Halfway stopped working. I depend on the sound and the mist every night to send it back and to get a new one. It would take five days or more. They wanted me to take a photo of cutting the cord. Well that means I would have to be without the humidifier five days. I can still get the sound and two levels of mess, but it will not turn off. I have to plug-and unplugged every night and day. The machine I really liked when it was working properly. So I'm going to keep it but I'm not happy about it that I had to go through all the hoops to get a new one so this is why I'm unhappy.
I wouldn't buy from this company, the humidifier came with a long crack in the plastic of the base. Very disappointing.
