I have 3 kids and we have been using the Crayola bath crayons for a couple years now. It's always been great but this last pack I bought was horrible! Most of them don't write, the few that do come out in weird thick/chunky lines. All of the crayons just break apart little brittle old dry things. I don't know what happened but something my 3 kids once loved has become a huge let down
What a nightmare. It took me an hour to clean the tub. Almost nothing would clean it. The only product that worked was comet and tons of hard scrubbing. It is all over my children's skin and stained the bath rug when they got out. I had to use make up remover on their whole body to get it off. I put them in the bath to come out clean! Not covered in impossible colored wax. On a positive note, the colors are a lot more vibrant than the old version, but beware, it is much like lipstick and difficult to remove.
My mom had bought these for my daughter and let's just say.. they are definitely NOT WASHABLE. After hours of scrubbing we have managed to get the blue, green and orange somewhat off but the red has completely stained the shower walls. We have used EVERY cleaning solution out there (including acetone) and that red won't lighten up even in the slightest. We are moving out and now our apartment wants to charge us for the damage. Very frustrating, DO NOT buy this product. I have always loved crayola but this was definitely a shock.
Do not waste your time with this product. It does not easily wash off like the package states. Will stain anything it touches, including your children. This is one of those products where you wonder if it's even tested. I'm a trash truck driver and I know trash. And that's exactly what this is.
I purchased my second package of Crayola bath crayons. The first package was great! But unfortunately Crayola has either changed their ingredients or outsourced to a disreputable factory! The second package not only stained my tub and washcloths but also stained my grandchildren like permanent markers! Took considerable scrubbing to remove the stains from the children and tub! Washcloths are now in the junk rag bin. The attached picture is after washing the cloth with bleach!
I bought these for my toddler girls (ages 4 1/2 and 2 1/2)thinking they would be easier and last longer than the paints, I was wrong. These fall apart easily from my girls coloring in the bathtub and ended up with a bunch of small pieces on the bottom of the tub which then ended up on their skin. Wouldn't be that big a deal except that it is super hard to scrub off of the tub AND the skin. It's a melted Vaseline wax, hard to explain, consistency that it just holds on to anything it touches and puts up a waterproof barrier making it darn near impossible to get off! I have scrubbed my tub with tilex bleach cleaner and will have to try again tomorrow because the stuff just isn't coming off (find that the red is the worst of them all). I didn't think to get a picture of it on my girls skin or a before picture of the tub but this picture is after scrubbing with cleaning products.
I bought this product because i love crayola and the product variety for my little one. My daughter was using them and accidentally they fell on the bathtub and they did not clean as they say. Now I will have to pay for a bath painting lot off money because I rent and it did not come off. I so disappointed
I bought this thinking my kid would have bath time fun. It is now my worst nightmare. She drew on the shower wall and nothing will get it off. Some of the color has left horrid stains. I tried mr clean magic erasers, bleach, Clorox bathroom cleaner, and alcohol. NOTHING TAKES IT OFF. I live in an apartment and management will be livid.
Considering we have been in quarantine and indoors more lately I gave in when my daughter asked to get bathtub crayons for some added fun to bath time. What I'm faced with now is a ruined bathtub and I am expected to pay for repairs/replacement of the tub walls when my lease is up. So please do yourselves a favor and do NOT purchase these crayons. I have scrubbed and scrubbed with different cleaning solutions and all the crayons leave a pink stain. A purchase of a few dollars will now probably cost me thousands!! I wish I would've read the reviews but I trusted Crayola brand to do what they advertise! Shame on them, did they not test this product in their own homes??? Or just test it period before putting their name on it??!!
Crayola needs to pull this product and take them back to the drawing board. They simply don't work. They snapped, and they didn't color. Frankly if I was part of the crayola company I would be ashamed to have my name on this product which I have always associated with quality and items which bring children joy and happiness. I truly hope that I simply bought a bad batch and perhaps I did, but my daughter who is 6 and loves to draw literally tore these open in eagerness was pretty downcast over it. It is a real shame.
