It has an on/off switch with a volume control. It holds regular size paper (8.5"x11"), comes with triangular shaped crayons in the slide out tray, with room for more. The best feature--It comes with batteries, ready to work right out of the package. Way to go Crayola!! Easily portable for small children (2yr-up) and an instant hit. We like it because we don't have to buy "special paper" for it to work.
I bought this for my 19 month old son because he likes to take pens or pencils and mark everything in sight. He's loves to scribble on it and has figured out how to work the buttons and get his crayons out. It's very easy to clean and all you need for your little genius is notebook or computer paper. He does need supervision because he likes to chew on them but there non toxic so I don't worry as much.
Bought this for my 2 year old niece on her birthday! She loved it more than any other present. Her 4 year old brother wanted it and kept trying to take it away! They absolutely love this toy!! I am getting him one for Christmas!
My 3 year old loves this toy! Not only do you get a chance to learn--you can sing while you're doing it! I recommend parents buying this toy for their toddlers.....
This product is the perfect gift for a little girl who loves to scribble and loves music. When she discovers that her scribbling makes the music faster she'll be delighted. She's 22 mo. old.
My husband & I chose this for my 1 year old nephew's christmas gift. Since it's before the holidays I can't really tell you how it holds up for a little one, but we've already had fun with it. I think it's a great way to join creativity & learning & Walmart.com def had the best price around!
We got this for our 18-month-old for Christmas. She seems to really enjoy it. (She's a little younger than the recommended age, but she's a smart one!) That the volume can be either louder or quieter is a nice feature. As far as electronic toys go, this one isn't terribly complicated, so the price is a bit higher than I would think. However, it is a great way for my little artist to enjoy making her pictures and I would buy it again.
I bought this for my 1 & 1/2 yr old nephew. I sent it to California where he lives for Christmas. The delivery was excellent shipping only cost me $1.98. My sister told me it was the gift he played with the most. However, when she sent me a video I did notice when he scribbled vigorously the paper did slip from the clips and she had to reposition it a few times. Other than that the music is gr8, it really works and he was laughing and scribbling just like I hoped he would. I would say this is another gr8 invention by Crayola for a gr8 price.
My daughter is a little older now and although she's slightly more interested in tearing the paper off the crayons, she does love the fact that the toy plays music as she scribbles on it. I don't have any complaints, it is definately a neat toy.
I purchased this Crayola Color Me a Song for my 20-month old granddaughter who attends a daycare center where she enjoys scribbling with crayons. The main problem with the art desk is that it does not hold paper firmly in place while the child colors; we were constantly repositioning the paper. Ultimately, my granddaughter pressed the buttons to make the desk play songs while she played with other toys.
