My teen daughter wanted to "spice" up her room, so she ordered this online. She loves it. When it's turned off, it looks more purple, and when its turned on, it looks pink. The photo matches well except the base is more red when turned on, not black. Assembly is easy. Wouldn't change a thing.
I purchased this lamp to go alongside two lava lamps in my high school art classroom. Everything about the glitter lamp is perfect! It's a good size, vivid lime color, and doesn't take long for the motion to get going. If I didn't already have the two lava lamps next to it, I'd get 2 more glitter lamps in different colors.
I got this lamp for my 11 yr old nephew for Christmas. He really liked it. It was a little more stylish than the ones you usually see in stores. I found this one online.
My grandson was so excited when he got this lamp for his room that is decorated in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles colors, it is really nice, the sparkles are very vivid and we love that it's plastic so that he does not burn his hands when the bulb gets hot. I bought a different smaller one for my other grandson's room that has black metal and we don't like it at all, we are going to be returning it for this one .. It's even nicer in person the picture does not do it justice ..
These were gifts for the older Grandkids for Christmas, and they all seemed very happy with them. They are all using them, so if they are happy, we grandparents are happy:)
very pretty lamp, I got it on clearance for 9.00 worth every penny. I bought 3 of these. I originally bought 2 for my granddaughters for Christmas 2013, so wanted to try them out, to make sure they worked since Christmas is more then 5 months away and I wouldn't be able to return them at that time. so tried them out, loved it so much bought one for myself.
Easy to put together, pretty to look at. It's not really a lava lamp, just glitter inside. One whole panel on the back is solid glitter. Overall it's OK, perfect for a young person.
Again, Walmart pics online r deceiving. The base of the lamp looks dark blue w/ blue on the inside lite up. In REALITY, the base is light blue....lite up it looks purple shade 3/4 of it w/ the other 1/4 bottom white. Very disappointed n That regard because my son wanted blue completely like his big brother glitter lamp (the 1 that is $19 .99 shaped like a cone or rocket ). Kept it because it did like the curve design.
I bought this for my five year old daughter for Christmas. She loved it, but when the light is on the black part looks red. After a month of using it every night as a nightlight the purple glitter inside lost its color, now it looks silver/green. It still works for night time, but I'm extremely disappointed it's not purple anymore.
The lamp that arrived here was not working. It looked exactly like the picture displayed; however, it did not perform. A plastic piece on the bottom (cover to battery chamber) was cracked off and when plugged in, the lamp did not work. Either the on/off switch (located on the wire going into the electrical socket was broken or the lamp itself was. I had to return; therefore, based on my experience, I cannot recommend. If you like the color green and 60's home fashion with a contemporary twist, you'll like this lamp......when it works.
