Rapid knitting loom from Creativity for Kids: This yarn is very colorful. It is used to embroider, either for a hat or a scarf. It is very good for beginners, for older children. Compared to other types of fabric, this is simpler because it includes an arc in which you can wind the thread with according to the instructions. The yarn is thick rainbow. It includes some pom poms for if you get to knit a hat. Very good idea even for an adult to start learning to knit.
This loom kit comes with everything that you need to make a pompom hat and a cup cozy. There is a large plastic loom, 2 rainbow pompoms, rainbow yarn, knitting hook, felt patch, plastic needle, needle threaders and instructions. The only additional item you will need to complete these projects are scissors. The instructions were a little difficult for my 12 year old son to understand on his own. Once I got him started though he was able to quickly make the cup cozy completely on his own. Its very much like knitting or crocheting but made much easier for little hands with the use of the loom. My 6 and 8 year old have both taken turns with working on a hat and they are both able to do it without help now. They caught on very quickly to how to move the yarn over each other to make the loops. I know my kids will be using this to make a lot more projects!
Make a Pom Pom Hat & Cup Cozy I got this for my granddaughter. She is only 2 but my 12 year old made this and its so adorable. She didn't have any issues making it either. Instructions are pretty clear on how to make it. I love the little pom poms on the top of the hat! She was already wearing this but I put it away for winter so it doesn't get lost. It came with everything needed to make the hat as well.
I am a long time crafter and I will honestly say that I have never mastered knitting. I just can't get it right and it takes too long. I have always wanted one of these looms to knit on and I have to say this thing is perfect! Don't think like I did and think that you only have to knit in the round and make hats. Hat's are fantastic, but a matching scarf is cool, too! I went to YouTube and watched a few videos which will teach you everything you need to know about using the loom. Load all the prongs if you want to make a hat, but only the prongs you want to make a flat scarf. In my photo, I am showing how I started a scarf and the 3 rows I knit took just seconds to do. This kit comes in a nice box, perfect for gift giving, and it comes with everything you need, including some yarn. My Kids are so excited about getting this, we are just waiting for Yarn to go on sale so we can make some scarves for winter. Anyone can use this Quick Knit Loom, get one, it's a lot of fun!
The quick knit loom kit comes with everything needed to create a Pom Pom hat and a cup cozy. The yarn is a cool tye dye design. The kit is time consuming so it provides an activity that will last for a good amount time. The box states that it for ages 7 to 97. I feel that this kit is best suited for kids a little older. My 8 year old had a little trouble with this. The first time we put the loops of yarn around the pegs on the loom they were too tight to pull the yarn through so we had to start over. The yarn comes unraveled easily from the pegs if you don't hold enough pressure on the other end. It has a anchor peg however the yarn unravels from it easily so a constant pressure is needed to keep it looped around the loom while pulling the loops up and over the pegs. This takes a little more coordination and patience than most 7-8 years old have. It's a great kit for an older child as it provides a project that will take several hours to complete and the finish product is wearable and very cool looking. You could continue to use the loom with additional yarn purchased to be able to make additional knit items. I found this to be a a fun and enjoyable craft for kids. It would make a great gift for kids also. The directions are easy to read and understand and include pictures as well.
So much fun. I was so excited for this and my daughter has been interested in learning how to knit. This was easy to use for my 7 year old daughter but she did get frustrated at times when the yarn would unravel after she spent some time looping each of the peg with yarn. She did get tired of it after a while and I was more than happy to take over. I use to use needles to see basic scarves and using this loop is so much more fun and easier! I really like how the hat with the pom turned out. We also made a small skinny scarf instead of the cup warmer. It was so fast to create too. My daughter loved the hat so much. I'm excited to make more items.

My 2 year old patiently watched in awww as her new hat was being made. The directions were really easy to follow. It was a bit time consuming, but easy. The hat came out beautifully and my daughter has been wearing it for days. A child could easily make this hat and cup cozy with a little help from and adult. It is such a cute little project. And the best part it you can use any yarn after you're done to make more hats!!
I am doing a review on the Creativity for Kids Quick Knit Loom: Make a Pom Pom Hat & Cup Cozy. First, let me tell you what is included in this kit. This kit includes ninety yards of chunky rainbow yarn, two rainbow pom poms, a felt patch, one plastic needle, two needle threaders, one knitting hook, a nine-inch round loom, and a manual with ideas and instructions. The yarn is really pretty and very soft to the touch. This chunky yarn will for sure keep your head warm. You couldn't ask for anything more. It is warm, soft, and very stylish. The pom-poms are not small. They are about three inches big. It is kind of hard to measure because they are in a ball shape. They are made very well. They are not like regular pom poms. These have a soft center with a very soft baby yarn I guess surrounding it. They are very fine pieces of yarn and very thick. The center fills like a squishy ball. These will not come apart. The latching hook is very comfortable to hold and is a very pretty pink color. The felt heart is blue and is about two inches big. There are holes pre-punched in it ready for your yarn. The plastic needle is also pink. It is very sturdy. It has to be flexible to be able to go in and out of the yarn. The two needle threaders are a lifesaver. I think they gave you two just in case you lose one. It saves so much time and frustration. The loom is a pretty baby blue color. It is made of very thick plastic. It will last a long time. These things just don't break. It also comes with a manual that shows how to make the two projects. It shows step by step instructions. It gives you a website to go for help and for tutorials on youtube. I could not find it on the site that is mentioned. I went to youtube and typed in the maker and the name of the product and found videos that showed the whole process. It really helped my thirteen-year-old granddaughter. She is in the process of making the hat. Some people need to see it done and she is one of them. This kit has everything you need. After you make these two projects you can go on and make your own. I highly recommend this kit. It states on the manual it is for ages 7 to 97.

I really like how there were both written and pictured instructions given which in the instructional booklet. Starting and finishing the hat was the most complicated parts but once you got going, the looming was very easy. My 8-year daughter looped most of the hat, but I helped her in the beginning, connecting the additional yarn and finishing the hat. It took her about ten days to complete the hat. Adding the pom-pom also required an adult assistance because it required a little sewing. Once we completed the hat it was very cute, and it fit snugly on my daughter's head. However, I think she will outgrow this hat in just one season. The care of this hat is hand wash in cold water with mild soap and to lay flat to dry. Overall, the Creativity for Kids Quick Knit Loom kit is great to keep little hands busy, but I would recommend this hat for smaller or younger heads.
