I was in the market for a new carrier and a new phone (or at least new to me) so I joined Cricket and upgraded my old phone to the Samsung Galaxy Sol. I'm used to having an 8gb phone so I have a 32gb SD card to move files over. Don't think you're going to load down this phone with games. So far, I haven't had any issues and I adore how much faster this phone is compared to my Core Prime. I will never deviate from the Samsung brand as I have always had a good run with any Samsung phone. Trust me when I say, they are SUPER durable. I've dropped my Samsung phones countless times and have never broken a screen. One even survived in the washer of all places.
I'm happy with the phone but it needs more storage space. Can't download any pictures or apps because It's always saying that I don't have enough space.
Bought this cert refurb. For the price I am very happy with it although the Samsung photo App seems to require a lot of memory. Constantly errors for not enough memory to launch. I have to constantly move stuff to the sd card. If it can save to the card automatically I have not found out how yet. The Samsung autocorrect while texting is extremely irritating. It will correct words that do not need to be. The replaceable battery was a very nice surprise. The case is very slippery, you'll need a case to be able to hold it securely without it slipping out of your hands when pulling it out of your pocket. All minor stuff. I am happy with the phone.
I got this phone for free as an upgrade. The phone itself looks nice, has a decent screen, the volume is decent, the app organization is good. It's good as a phone when you a replacement. The two setbacks are that finding things on the phone is obnoxiously difficult, say trying to find where the downloads are or documents you have saved on the phone. There is also a criminally low amount of storage space. The phone eats up well more than half right out of the box. Right now I have dropbox, word, gmail, venmo, maps and a travel app, and that's all I can really do with it. I got it for free, so hey, not complaining.
I purchased this phone near the end of 2016. It started out as a good phone. Except the sd card didn't work from day 1 so the phone was severely limited in storage capability. On month 3 the phone lost its ability to make calls without using a bluetooth. The part that you speak into is what stopped working. I finally replaced the phone yesterday. I was very disappointed because everyone always tells me how great Samsung is but i must of got the lemon model this time because phone should last little more then 5 months.
Not such a great phone. I bought it because my phone charging port broke. I bought one of the cheapest and got what I paid for. Memory used up without loading anything on phone. It can only just really be used for calling and texting. Can do a little bit of online stuff but not much. Cannot view the 2-3 pictures I took on the phone because it says memory is full. Phone has had issues since purchased. It is only temporary until I get the phone I want of course way more expensive then this phone.
We got this phone free when we switched to cricket wireless. It's a good thing it was free because it is worthless. The phone only has 8 gb and the system uses around 6 gb. So it won't allow you to add any apps to the phone before running out of storage. This phone should not even be an option. So since we had gotten this one to change it out we had to pay the $25.00 activation fee which I felt should have been waived to upgrade to a phone that would actually work. This is the only complaint I have had with cricket wireless at this point.
had this thing going on a month and its almost unusable. if i had any money i'd upgrade it and sacrifice this one in a video to warn others about it. it barely worked before the os update because of the provider package utilizing all of the internal 8gb storage. im not sure who okay'd this but their job should legit be in question. after using multiple third party apps to trim installation images and log files, moving every possible app to SD card it barely works. Most of the android apps im accustomed to using will not open due to memory failures: Gallery, memory manager, samsung browser. oh, the battery life is great because you can never really have anything running.
I am so glad I only paid $0.99 for this phone. The system doesn't allow you to transfer anything to the SD card and and after less than 24 hours it ran so slow it would be better to not have a phone.
I bought the phone and as soon as I tried to activate it, the phone said there was no sim card. Anyone that reads this please know that you are wasting your money if you buy this phone!!!
