This phone is perfect for my teenager - he uses it mostly for texting and an occassional phone call. Can't beat $25/month unlimited texting. We're in a rural area and he gets much better reception than he did with tracfone. The keyboard is very comfortable to use. It's very easy to add monthly airtime (paygo) on the cricket website or on the phone. We are very pleased with this purchase.
If you're not into the Android and touch screen phones, this is the best phone out there right now! The price is just unbeatable! I would recommend anyone that has a cheap/lower end phone or anyone wanting to start service to choose this phone over any others available as long as the price is below $50! As I'm typing this, the phone is only $30!!!!! WOW!! Not sure if it's a promotion for the Holidays or if the price will stay under $30, but while it does...scoop it up!!
It was a nice phone, actually. Cricket didn't have very many choices to choose from here in Seattle, so I went with it. It performs well, but is just average, nothing fancy. But very cute. I would recommend it to someone who just wants a basic, easy to use phone.
I love the memory on this phone more than the others I have had. It stores more calls, texts, and pics! Camera is not the best, but if u just need 2 talk & text, its perfect! I have not dropped a call or had bad reception. It's by far the best Cricket phone I have purchased. This is my 3rd & the 3rd is a charm!
The cricket pillar m615 is a good phone although the reception isnt the best but the price is. I paid only $30.00 for it, but prices can vary. If you get it for the camera you will be let down because it does not take the best pictures. The texting buttons are pretty small but you will get used to it. I hope i helped you with your decision about buying it or not.
I like the phone but the speaker could be a little louder.
for a beginner, for a temporary replacement phone, its a great phone Pros: cheap easy texting sturdy/strong (i drop my phone alot) at home, service was good voice/sound quality was good on both ends user-friendly layout Cons: poor service at work camera quality is poor definitely not the best phone, but for a beginner or a replacement phone, you cannot go wrong with this phone. (:
So this phone is pretty decent , just bought it and im 15. Works well, i use the $25 card and its doing fine. Sometimes the interent will 'Fail to connect' and the interent is slow, but if your looking for a good phone to call or text then this phone is great, its very light and easy to use.
As a previous reviewer had mentioned, this phone is really suitable for texting and music. Yes, this phone can go on online but it is excruciatingly slow and video does not play at all. I'm not sure if it's Crickets internet/data speeds or that this phone doesn't have enough brain power to handle all that data. Either way, it's still a useful phone for what i mostly use it for, which is to listen to music and text. I bought a 16 GB Class 10 microSD card with SD adapter which then becomes a microHCSD as well, and i can fit plenty of mp3's and photos. Make sure that it isn't a microHCSD card as it isn't compatible with this phone. Walmart.com doesn't currently offer this so I had to scour the internet for a company that still sells a high GB non HCSD card, which aren't very many. Paid under $20 for it. I listen to music through the speaker for several hours a day. The battery life average, lasts about 2-3 days. It isn't great or bad. The buttons are small but i've gotten used to them. the photo quality lives much to be desired with no options for lighting, contrast, brightness. I'd recommend this phone to my friends that could care less about heavy data/internet usage but if that is what you are looking for, try a better phone.
Out of all the phones I've ever seen, used or owned.. this hunk of junk is the worst! It falls apart easily. It is so slow it makes a snail look like the road runner. I would rather have my Nokia that I had back in the late 90's over this useless thing. Not to mention Crickets service it's self is awful for the price the expect you to pay. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy let alone a friend.
