This is the greatest! Cricut made the larger Expression machine and I have that one also. The Cricut Create is all of that machine packed into a little version which is much easier to handle and is portable to take to all of your classes and scrapbooking gatherings! Of course it uses all the same cartridges as all the other Cricut machines. Many crafting stores do not carry the Create. If they do, their price is so much higher than that of Walmart. Great product - Great Deal! Buy one! You will love it!
Of the three Cricut Machines out there, this is the best of both worlds. The portable size is perfect, yet the ability to cut the smaller size is a great feature. I refused to spend the outrageous price of the larger Cricut for the smaller cutting options, because of the bulky size of the machine. This is a great price for a practical product.
I would recommend purchasing this product. It is a GREAT tool to have while scrapbooking, and I would recommend purchasing the bundle. By buying this as a bundle, you save money on the products that you would need anyway. The only reason why I stated a "four" for "meets expectations" is because I bought the bundle along with the cutting machine, and the machine did not come with a cutting blade. So, instead of being able to play with my machine right after I received it, I have to go back to the store to buy the cutting blade. This is quite inconvenient. If I would have known that the cutting blade didn't come with the machine, I would have bought it with the bundle. Keep this in mind with your purchase.
Having lost the use of a professional die cut machine I took a chance and purchased the Cricut Create. I have to admit that I wasn't expecting great results from a product that appears to be made entirely of plastic with a name like a Cricut. I was very impressed with this little machine. It appears to be well made and produces excellent results although I have only used it for one large project.
I have been wanting a Cricut for quite some time, but couldn't justify spending the money for the machine and accessories only months after having my first child. The Walmart bundles are definitely the way to go if you're looking to purchase the die cut machine. I purchased one of the Cricut bundles that debuted this past Christmas, and I absolutely love it. Included with my Cricut was additional cutting mats, the tool kit, and the Don Juan font cartridge (which was apparently only released with the Walmart bundles, making it harder to come by than the other cartridges). Cartridges can be purchased online for a fraction of the retail price, and there is also a third-party program available called Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL), which allows you to use most fonts installed on your computer, instead of buying cartridges.
If you are looking at this product, you probably already know what it is. WalMart however has the best price on this item. Its a good $100 less than buying it from Michaels. Their shipping is fast as well. For those that don't already have a cricut, the machine is very much all about having cartridges. So expect to spend some serious cash on cartridges.
I love this machine! Lots of features and functions and very easy to learn to use. I have such fun using it. I searched for the best price and Walmart online had it. Plus it was shipped free. Price was better than in the store. It was also delivered extremely fast.
The cricut has made my scrapbooking so easy. I love it. I am making birthday cards for my daughters party, and making mothers day gifts...... Easy to use, I recommend this for any craft person. My daughter loves watching it work...
I got this for our 14 Year Old daughter for Christmas for her to use in her scapbooking efforts. It seems to be a very well designed, constructed, and versatile tool. It looks kind of like a printer, but instead it cuts shapes out of paper. card stock, etc. to jazz up any presentation. At $185, it is kind of pricey, but there are many cartridges and accessories that she can acquire, making its verstility almost endless and most importantly, she seems to love it!
I actually used this product at a friends house in mid-spring and found that I could spend hours creating new things for my scrapbook as well as other crafty things for my students. As with any hobby, it takes patience, but after you've used the machine a few times, you get used to the work. Unfortunately, each cartridge is costly and they don't have enough to vary. If you're lucky, you might get the cartridges on sale.
