It is a Christmas gift for my wife. Not pleased that Wal-Mart keeps emailing me about my purchase and my wife could see the email notification on my phone. Based on the reputation of their other products and my wife having an expression cricut then I think it will be fine. Just use caution if you want to keep it a secret. Smh.
Easy to use. Learned to use clear contact paper to stabilize the intricate vinyl cutouts while transferring to the mugs etc. Then just remove the contact paper!!
It does everything (and then some) that my Cameo does. I'm super excited to create more with my new Cricut!
My husband and I are completely amazed at this machine's capabilities. We bought the Cricut primarily to cut vinyl (not for paper crafts in our case, but to make resists for etching copper), and we had a super-detailed graphic partially cut out, when one of us accidentally pulled the electric cord out of its socket. We won't say who... My husband re-plugged the electric cord and the Cricut worked on. I was sure the cut would have to be re-done; some of the tiny cuts were no more than 1/32nd of an inch in diameter. The machine re-cut where it had first cut and went on to finish the job, and guess what? The cuts were P-E-R-F-E-C-T. We both were completely amazed! We heartily recommend this fabulous product; our heads are spinning over the creative projects we'll be able to make and the ones we've already made.
Had an older Cricut, wanted one that could cut out my own designs. I was not disappointed. Very fine small cuts, awesome software allows you to upload your own graphics. Highly recommended!!!
When this said wireless and I could use my IPad and/or computer I assumed it was complete with everything that I needed, but instead it was an additional cost of almost $40.00. The box and the add need to say this somewhere. Other than that it does come with computer cables so I have been able to hook it to my computer which has been a bit inconvenient but do like the product and look forward to learning how to use it.
Everything is really friendly, ie: software, design space, etc. To get it to do what I wanted it to do it took some finessing, but alas! It does it! My project was to cut out professionally printed stickers. I had the stickers printed on sticker paper elsewhere but cut them out with the cricut...like I said once I figure out how to get the cut lines perfect it's been MAGIC!
I purchased for my daughter and I to make vinyl projects. My only down is all the things you have to buy to go with it. Also the fact you have to buy each image or have monthly subscription to get images online. It will be handy for years to come. From gifts to school projects I guess it's worth all the extra
This machine will only operate through a web browser. The size of the artwork you can cut is also limited by the browser's capabilities-usually 6x8 inches. They don't state this in their sales pitch, i found out after I purchased it.
I have been able to do any thing with it. Not Clear On Instructions Everything Is On Line. Had To Buy Everything That I Needed I Felt Like I Was Nickled And Dimed To Death. The trial phase wasn't long enough. Couldn't save designs and then print on my days off. It would change me when I went to cut.
