I like it but I need to better educate myself in how to use it in order to adequately respond to this survey.
So I used my knife blade for the first time yesterday. It asked me to calibrate it first. Which I did. Fast and painless. I cut out some flowers from real leather and also engraved on them. It said it was doing 4 passes. I checked after two and it had cut thru like butter. Awesome. Love it. Thanks cricut for adding another craft to my endless many that I do. Planning on cutting leather for flowers for keychains and purses.
I engraved dog tags for my son's varsity football team, and the Senior's moms. They were a hit! A bit of a learning curve for me, but the tip performed very well.
I love using this to engrave dog tags and square metal plates! It's pretty fun to use when you know what you're doing. I butchered using it the first time but right after the second time I immediately got the hang of it! 😄
Performed beautifully for a number of engravings. To be honest, this is my first replacement tip, so I used my original engraving tip lasted several years about once or twice a month to engrave moderately intricate pieces (2 mm acrylic). Now, wanting a more intricate design on a few acrylic pieces, I swapped out for this new tip.
Because I almost spent $60 on this same item on cricut website. But searched google for a cheaper price and beautiful Walmart showed up
Disappointed that when I searched to ensure this was compatible with my explorer 3, it came up within the search parameters on the Cricut website that it was compatible. When I received the item, and tried it, it didn't work. So I searched again, more throughly, recovering that it is only compatible with the maker, not explorer. Wasted time and money.
When I tried to use it on ny maker 3, the machine doesn't recognize it and can not work! Pretty sure it is damaged.
Garbage. Does not cut through 1/16 basswood as promised. Cuts through the top layer but when you turn the wood over it's completely smooth... the cuts don't go all the way through. Called support and, after walking me through several troubleshooting steps, they said I had a faulty blade... so they shipped me a new one. New blade behaves the same as the old one. Doesn't cut all the way through.
Machine does not recognize the Tip no matter what I do
