i charge the 1701p with my fx hand pump. Just 40 strokes to fill from 2500 psi to 2900 psi. installed the crosman shoulder stock and a utg 3-9x40 scope and very accurate from 20 yards. the price is lower than all other on line sellers. dont understand why it is always out of stock on line.
Superb Crosman product and great Walmart price. Use mine for 10 meter air pistol shooting. Excellent trigger makes this possible. Pistol's length and weight approximates that of a full size (very expensive) match air pistol. Accuracy is very good. Using a pump it is easy to refill.
The pistol is everything I could expect from crosman as I also have a Marauder rifle. It is accurate, quiet, and has a great trigger and almost a 100 GOOD shots per fill. I really like it.
Crosman raised the bar here! This pistol is SEVERELY under the radar but with a bit of research I chose it for 10M target over the 1720. So glad I did too. It literally STACKS pellets at my 10M indoor range. I have a YH compressor and a Win-best hand pump. Hand pumping the 1701P is a breeze! Crosman advertises as 50 usable shots per charge but at 2800psi indicated I get 70... yes 70 shots with no poi change. ONLY thing added is a BSA EDGE pistol scope and swapped a set of Cocobolo grips I had from a CCS 2300KT of mine. (CCS...PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!) Do it... you wont be disappointed.

good trigger, accurate for short range target shooting. Inexpensive for a 10 Meter gun, add your own sights (figure that into the costs) and you are good to go. If you want to hunt, get the Marauder pistol instead. This is a .177 at about 450 fps, and not much energy, so good for punching paper. Very accurate.
