This is described as a decal, but it is a gel-type item. The thickness of it is a surprise and this makes for wonderful effect. It is lovely in my home and I would not hesitate to put it on a church office window or anywhere else. It was very easy to put up- hardest part was to carefully measure to position it straight. I taped it to the window before taking the protector off and marked on the glass the end of each arm where I wanted it. Worked out fine and don't think that I will ever take it off unless I moved. Saved the plastic sleeve for that event.
