Love this toaster! Perfect toast, bagels, English Muffins. I especially like the pull/push lever for starting the toast cycle. My older toaster had push buttons on the top and you could accidentally start the toaster without knowing it and cause of fire. It's great looking and fairly priced.
I bought this beautiful brushed stainless steel toaster because it was so highly rated by independent testers in several surveys. This toaster is super. It has memory for both sides (it has 4 slots), is motorized both up and down and I can select what type of bread, and on and on. It does a very good job of evenly toasting the bread be in a bagel, English muffin, or bread. I would highly recommend this brand and this specific toaster.

I love the memory function. I've always had to set the darkness for regular toast and then toast muffins, bagels, etc. multiple times to get them right. The graphic countdown is a nice feature giving you and idea how much longer until the item is done toasting.
Another great Cuisinart toaster! Replaced a still functioning four slice Cuisinart that was 15 years old. We were so pleased with function and quality we purchased new toaster with additional features. We love the settings fur bagels, muffins, whole grain beads, it really makes a difference! I had your previous motorized 4 slice motorized toaster and the bagel setting only toasted the one cut side of the bagel. This one toasts both sides when bagel has been selected. Is this a defect? What is the difference with bagel selected from any other bread type? In fact why have all those bread types? Regular two sided toast or bagel toasting one side.
Replacing an existing older model with the newer technology model. Over all early impressions are favorable. Uniformity of the toast is OK but not significantly better than lower cost toasters. Happy with the purchase but if your looking for the wow factor you might be disappointed.
Good looking toaster, and on paper the motorized Cuisinart is a perfect substitution for a Breville motorized Smart Toaster at roughly half the price. In reality it's not remotely the same. First, the controls are a bit too fidgety. Nothing works better than a simple mechanical slider for darkness. Now that's smart! Still, the controls are not what I would call a dealbreaker. The dealbreaker is the bagel setting toasting on both sides, and burning the bottom regardless of which way the slices are oriented. Bagels probably make up a third of our toasting needs, so not having a properly working bagel setting simply won't due. Maybe our toaster had a problem, but other reviews suggest it wasn't just ours. I returned it and didn't chance another. I expected better from Cuisinart.
