This makes terrific Belgian Waffles. We use Krusteaz waffle mix and they turn out perfect. Crispy outside, light inside. Timing has consistently been 7.5 minutes to heat the appliance to setting 4, and 4.5 minutes for each batch of waffles to cook on setting 4. We found setting 5 to be too done, and setting 3 too light. We tried the pancake plates once, not thrilled with it. The pancakes were bland compared to doing them in a pan on the stove.
Heats quickly, evenly. Cooks well. Great timer tone for when waffle is done. Love the removable plates. Although theyre quite lightweight (and not heavy like the oney parwntd had from late 1960s).
I looked for a long time and read lots of reviews before choosing my new Cuisinart waffle maker. This makes perfect waffles and chaffles for us. They come out crispy yet tender. It's everything I wanted. So fast and easy to make the waffles, easy cleanup, no sticking and the removable plates make cleanup a breeze. I'm very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend!
When my old Cuisinart waffle maker finally failed after many years of service, I decided to upgrade to the newer model with the removable plates. I love it! I have cooked on it a few times and my waffles release completely from the nonstick surface, no effort required. The removable plates are a game changer, being so easy to clean. I'm very pleased with this model and recommend it.
This is the perfect size for 4 hearty waffles. Just spray a little canola oil, and they come out perfect everytime. Love that this waffle maker comes with 2 more plates a flat one for eggs, and another with circles for pancakes. Excellent.
This waffle maker is awesome! We sponsored a waffle bar for Fathers Day at our church! Hot waffles on request! They were deliciously beautiful, crispy on outside, and soft on inside!
Had my eye on this before I purchased another brand that "flips" w/ removable plates, didn't like that it only made one round waffle in four sections and how it wasn't storage friendly. THIS waffle maker however is FANTASTIC!!!! The first use I used veg. spray on the plates, but I found that you don't need to, for now anyway. As long as the plates hold up and don't have any unforeseen issues I highly recommend this waffle maker to anyone who loves waffles!!
So Far SOOO GOOD. We've made waffles and pancakes which turned out just fine, eggs and sausage are down the road. We use Krusteaz pancake mix and Krusteaz corn muffin mix together. 1 cup of each. Then just follow the recipe on the pancake bag for the tastiest and most filling pancakes and waffles ever!
I can't say enough about this. The options for breakfast and beyond are endless. I've recommended to so many people. The dishwasher safe grates sold me, but the ease of exchangeable waffle and pancake grates made this my daily go to. From breakfast to lunch and dessert too. If you haven't heard of a Chaffle you will want to check them out because you choice are endles!
If you are looking for a real Belgian Waffle Maker this is not it. This waffle iron does not have the ability to make large thick waffles but it can make regular size waffles really well. The same applies for pancakes - can't make big fluffy pancakes but regular size flatter cakes are a breeze. We love the fact we can also prepare eggs and Canadian bacon using the pancake plates when we are making bacon, egg, & cheese sandwiches. Definitely saves space not having to own a separate waffle iron and pancake griddle. Cleaning up is a breeze as you can detach the plates and put them in the dishwasher if you want.
