A wonderful product . . . in several ways capable of taking the place of several kitchen appliances (i.e., toaster, standard wall oven and other aspects of needing to use my stove, etc.) and I'm sure there are other features I've yet to discover because it's still very new and I'm still in an interesting orientation with this product. The same wonderful, dependable sturdy impression that you get from other Cuisinart products. The only drawback is what seems to be the cheap grade of stainless that's used on the exterior -- really detracts from the quality and prestige of the product (seems to attract fingerprints that so far I have not been able to remove. However I'll keep trying).
I bought the Cuisinart convection toaster oven in preparation for our kitchen remodel. I did a lot of research because it was crucial that the toaster oven be large enough for a frozen pizza! I love how easy it is to use. It comes with a gorgeous pizza baking stone and 2 other baking accessories.
This was an upgrade from a 12 year old(!) Cuisinart convection oven that still worked fine. This model has a much larger interior and it's very nice looking. The convection feature is quiet and this thing cooks FAST! I very rarely use my full size oven due to the capability of the Cuisinart. Some nerds have complained that the lettering rubs off of the ON/OFF button, mine has not but omg get a life nerds, it's the on/off button! This oven is impressive in looks and operationally. Get it and be happy like me!
The Cuisinart Chef's Toaster Oven is easy to use. For baking & toasting, it's a matter of getting used to the performance of the settings for your selected food. The oven is a large item to set on your counter; however, it's usage makes it well worth it. The oven lighting is a welcome addition over my previous 2013 Cuisinart Toaster Oven. Happy with the oven, so far!
Ok. I love this little convection oven. Since I got this oven, I rarely had to use my big kitchen oven. It will take a 10" cast iron skillet (with handle). I use it to bake corn bread. I've baked bread, cornbread, casseroles and much more in this oven. Unfortunately, after 2 years of use, the thermostat quit working. Fortunately this little oven had a 3 year warrenty that the manufacturer did not even flinch about supporting. So, now I am baking again with a new Cuisinart Chef's Convection Toaster Over and I love it.
My 26 year old doubleoven's motherboard recently burned out and cannot be fixed nor replaced! I found I must wait 6 months or more for a replacement oven to arrive! I purchased the Cuisinart Chef's Convection Toaster Oven as I must have an oven to use. I found it to be easy to set up and use. It even bakes more evenly than my previous doubleoven. I have tried many of my favorite dishes that can be accomodated by the size of the oven and am quite pleased with the outcome of all! I plan to keep the Chef's oven alongside of the new doubleoven (whenever it arives) as it is so accurate and handy! The time to preheat is less than half of what a regular size oven takes!
After seriously considering my ACTUAL needs, I settled on the TOB-260N1. I had compared inexpensive Black & Decker toast only models to top-of-the-line Breville do-everything models. I decided that if I am to have an extra appliance on the counter it should at least toast perfectly, cook small meals such as fish-and-chips or reheat a single plate of leftovers for a quick meal. For larger family meals, I continue using the conventional oven for bulk items while supplementing with the toaster oven for sides and such. I have not used every function within my first two months; however, I expect I will experience success just the same. Be sure to clean this unit EVERY time after it cools down - it will make your life so much easier and prolong the life of the unit. Overall, I believe I made a sound decision and am pleased with my purchase.
It's great for roasting veggies! It gets up to temperature really quick! So much faster than the oven. I notice for oven recipes that sometimes you have to decrease the temperature because the outside of the food will heat up too quickly otherwise. It takes less time though even with decreasing the temperature than the oven recipe will say.
This is my second Cuisinart oven and I am just as pleased with this one as my last. Not only is it very easy to use, it can be trusted to cook evenly with perfect results. The tips on what rack to use for various meals is a great feature as well as easy to use selector. I recommend it highly and have done so to friends and family.
We chose this toaster oven because our beloved 10 year-old Berville one died in the middle of "pandemic related supply chain issues" and was back-ordered 3+ months. This Cuisinart was a lot more than we needed but boy has it made our lives easier with all the added features that our Breville didn't have like convection heating. The bagel, pizza, sandwich pizza, leftover and keep-warm functions are so convenient and cook to perfection. I knocked off one star for the known issue of the oven door not closing fully flush against the unit. I contacted Cusinart and they are sending me a replacement. Hoping the replacement won't have the same issue.
