It's early in my ownership of this coffee maker. I owned one before that wouldn't make more than 3 cups of coffee after 7-8 cups of water was used. So far though this coffee maker makes coffee fast. It's also a lot easier to clean being black than the stainless steel one I previously had. I don't like the fact it requires the v shaped filters. These cost a lot more and most suppliers don't sell large quantity filter choices. It's better to make a design change using the circular type filters. They are cheaper. I use these instead and hope the coffee doesn't slip through some how. Perhaps you can make available a basket that makes use of a circular filter type?
This is a wonderful coffee maker. I was surprised that it came with the gold filter; nice little touch. It brews a great cup of coffee, in either a small pot or large. I can brew only four cups and have morning coffee just for myself. I would change one thing, however, if there were any "do overs" and that would be the lid. I'm not sure why the designer did not stick with the traditional levered lid on the carafe, but instead chose to have the lid pop off. It's one additional step that seems completely unnecessary and could have easily been remedied. For me, it doesn't detract from this great little machine, but I have seen other reviewers make this same observation and complain.
I absolutely love my new Cuisinart 12-Cup Classic Programmable Coffeemaker! This coffee maker is a total lifesaver for busy mornings. I can program it the night before, and wake up to the delicious smell of fresh brewed coffee. No more rushing around or waiting for the coffee to brew! One of my favorite features is the "Brew Pause," which is perfect when I'm in a hurry and need a quick cup before it's finished brewing. The coffee comes out nice and hot, and the carafe keeps it warm for a good amount of time. Plus, it's super easy to use – the buttons are straightforward, and the display is easy to read. The carafe itself is great too – it pours smoothly without dripping, and the handle is comfortable to hold. I also love that it has a 12-cup capacity, so it's perfect for when I have guests over. The removable built in filter is a nice touch, making it easy to clean. Overall, I'm super happy with my Cuisinart coffeemaker. It's a reliable, easy-to-use machine that makes delicious coffee every time. If you're looking for a classic coffeemaker with some handy features, I highly recommend this one!
Has every needed option and even self cleans itself. We use most every day during the work week and it is quick, quiet and consistent every time.
Excellent coffee maker. In particular I like the option that allows the coffee to stay hot for 4 hours as opposed to other brands that are a maximum for up to 3 hours.
My Cuisinart Coffee Maker would have a 5 Star review if the pot and lid design were better. The coffee pot top edge had a lip that prevents all the coffee from being poured into your cup. The lid isn't the best design either because the coffee doesn't brew into the pot cleanly, and over time, it will get too stained.
This is a great coffee maker. The coffee is always good, it's fast, and easy to use and maintain. It's so good that we've bought 4 of them or their previous model, because the only drawback is their lifespan. We've yet to have one last more than 18 months. First the cleaning cycle goes, then eventually they just stop working. Since they're relatively inexpensive we just keep replacing them.
Makes a great tasting pot of coffee and I love the features. The only complain I have is the way the water and grounds are put into the pot. Each time I get ready to brew, the entire put must be pulled all the way from under the cabinets to fill with water and grounds. Also, it's very awkward putting water into the reservoir if using the carafe. Makes excellent choice but not easy, (almost unsafe), to prepare. A side or slide out reservoir and grind holder would have made this an excellent purchase.
The coffee pot drips. The plastic snap-on top is a bad design. Send it back to the test engineer. The top is not suppose to retain coffee after the brew cycle. Coffee must be in the pot, not in the snap-on top. It drips as you pour making a mess.
This is my third comparable Cuisinart coffeemaker. It does the job and I like the controls. What I don't like is how LOUD it is while brewing, and how opening the lid after brewing, to remove and clean the filter basket, sends water cascading down the back of the machine, straight onto the power cord. I cannot believe Cuisinart still has not corrected this design flaw after all these years.
