I needed to replace my 14 year old 4-cup processor and decided to go with this much larger 11 cup Cuisinart. I have only used it twice, and have only used the shredding blade, but it did a great job shredding my vegetables. I was also pleased with how relatively quiet it is compared my previous processor. It's sturdy and quite large, but will not fit under my upper cabinets, so I store it on top of the refrigerator. I wish it had a blade compartment built into the bottom for the discs (like my old processor did), but that's a small price to pay for this upgrade. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.
I owned a Cuisinart food processor when it first came on the market. After many years, the bowl broke and because I couldn't replace it, I gave up and lived without. The price on this was so reasonable, I couldn't resist. It has saved me hours of kitchen prep and I'm again delighted to own a Cuisinart!
Had my old food processor for 10 years, the difference in performances, ease of use, and flexability is fantastic. I make all my tart shells in a food processor, and my new Cuisinart E-11cuts preperation time in half. I am looking forward to learn what other great things I can accomplish in the future...
This is an excellent product. We purchased this for our cabin in the mountains and have found this is the perfect size for my wife and I.
We really like this food processor! It's our first food processor, so we're learning, but it's been very straightforward and has cut my hummus making time to a fraction of what it previously took! Love it! Great quality! Easy to clean! (Watch those sharp blades though!) Would totally buy again.
A nice food processor, but certainly not built like the original one I had from 35 years ago. I do like the gaskets on the bowl so flour doesn't go flying everywhere when incorporating flour and butter together. My biggest complaint is how brittle and thin the bowl pusher is...I accidentally dropped it on a tile floor and it shattered. The motor base is really lightweight and the whole processor will move while processing "on" but not too much when "pulsing". The redesign of the blades and slicers is very nice. Overall, I do like it, but I will be very careful handling the bowl and lid pieces.
I had a Cuisinart food process for decades and when the bowl finally cracked, I bought this one. Overall, it works very well, but I thought the High & Low buttons would remain depressed until the Off button was pressed. They do not and must be held down. I'm disappointed in this "feature".
This is my third Cuisinart food processor - it works well - love the feeding tube being at the front of the processor rather than at the rear - also love the lid fitting more tightly. All in all, I really loved my previous Cuisinart Classic and its "feel" - I don't get the same "feel" with the Elemental - hopefully, in time its "feel" will grow on me!
Although this looks sleeker and has more horsepower than our old (less expensive) food processor, it simply doesn't work as well. It appears to be a design problem with the chopping blade, with leaves large chunks of matter while over-processing some of the same. It just doesn't do a very good job. (For example, carrots will end up liquefied or in chunks, but it's hard to get anything in between!) We're putting this one in storage and will use it for emergencies if the old one fails. Really disappointed!
It did not grate onion well. I'm also worried about the long plastic piece on the pusher that has to engage for food processor to operate—looks like it will break easily.
