I love the functionality of this product and how easy it is to clean! I always find myself holding the blade in place to empty the bowl and then I remember that it clicks in place and I fall in love with my food processor all over again! The two bowl sizes that nestle into each other for storage is such a great idea and you no longer need two different for processors. The storage box is perfectly designed to hold all of the different attachments and accessories. I think Cuisinart just might have thought of everything... I would buy it all over again!
I love this model of Cuisinart. I have had one of the very early Cuisinarts for years and years but finally wanted something better. This model fixes everything I didn't like about the original Cuisinart. The two sized plunger, the easy release lid, and the easy release bowl are the best improvements. The adjustable slicing blade is a nice addition also.
Fast - Efficient - Powerful motor - 4 1/2 cup nested bowl inside 14 cup large bowl - Fits under kitchen wall cabinets with under-cabinet lighting - Very large wide-mouth feed chute (great for cucumbers and zucchini) - Smaller chute for celery and cherry tomatoes - Blade lock - Super-seal bowl lids for liquids - 5 included blades with storage cabinet - Easy cleanup - Upper rack dishwasher safe blades, lids and bowls - Recipe book included Fantastic warranty: 3 Year on entire machine and 20 Year on motor Whipped up pumpkin pie filling and made several cheesecakes the first few days. Salad prep is quick and easy. Great price from Walmart made the deal even better!
This powerful unit is tough and has put to shame the commercial ones (Robot Coupe & Waring) I have in my work kitchen that cost 2X & 3X as much. Its motor is VERY strong. I can't say it will continue working for more than 20-30 minutes at a time before getting too hot but, who really needs that anymore, right? Now, let's talk about the bowl. It is AWESOME! The lid comes off with the ease of a button. You don't have to twist it off like the older ones. It has a rubber gasket too! This is THE BEST, most well-made food processor I have ever owned. Period. Since my bowls usually break within 6mo-1yr from constant use, I purchased a backup bowl. Though, I really don't think I'll need one this time. This unit is SOLID! The smaller bowl: It does smaller jobs like fine chopping garlic and ginger beautifully.
I love this product so much! I decided to order one after seeing how the product works on the cuisinart website. The feature to make a dough is amazing, no need to kneel the dough anymore, no mess, mix butter and flour really well in seconds, seriously! save a lot of the time, baking and cooking make it easier.
I purchased this a month ago with the main purpose of making nutter butters. Works great !!! I researched all of them before deciding on this model. Cleans easy. Easy start. Super simple to use. Love it. It's pretty big so if you don't have counter space or don't mind dragging it out - its awesome- otherwise get a smaller model. Like the adjustable slicing blade also. It's a simple turn of the dial. This model also has 2 work bowls which is great when need a smaller bowl for small projects like salsa or purees. Note: need at least 18 " of clearance if fitting on counter but underneath overhead cabinets! See photo
The small blade had a factory made imperfection at the the area where the blade fit onto the base. My concern was that over time the plastic would erode and chip off into the food. I was sent a new blade that had a smaller imperfection as the first blade bit it was smoother and I didn't feel it would erode with use over time.
Love it, would have 5 starred it. Had to put a clip on the cord and it is too short.
Dough making didn't work out as expected. Dough blade floats up dough leaks out underneath dough blade and motor stalls out and overheats. Huge mess goat rope, not easy peasy good clean fun unless you like cleaning up slimy sticky dough for an hour.
This is my 5th Cuisinart (3 large 10 to 14 cup size and two little ones), and this is the only one I have not been satisfied with. The past 4 gave/give good service; we cook from scratch about 4 days a week and use the food processors to knock things out quickly. The last 2 large ones gave good service but after about 10 years the safety contacts and motor contacts quit working to an extent that it was almost cheaper to buy a new unit. We shred lots of carrots. Even after watching the video, 3 experienced Cuisinart users could not get the carrots to push straight down; many often turn sideways and we end up with 3 or 4 cups of shredded carrots with 5" long by 1" wide chunks of carrot throughout the bowl. It is disappointing to have to dig through each bowl and find so much wasted food.
