I absolutely love this mixer. The low speeds are wonderful when blending in dry ingredients and it is easy to increase the speed while mixing. At this point, I have only used the beaters, but I do like the new style without the center rod. Lastly, the case is great. I can fit everything inside. My only suggestion would be for the cord to be able to rotate a bit more where it is attached; you do have to work with it a bit to maneuver it in the storage container to close.
Very pleased with the mixer. Love the storage case. Really like that it starts at a very low speed so that you're not blowing dry ingredients all over when you're incorporating it into wet ingredients. Would highly recommend. Happy with my purchase.
I really love this mixer! It's compact and gets the job done. I enjoy the company thought about the customers with small spaces because you can put everything that it came with it inside the mixer.
Some recipes required foods to be mixed in a large bowl over boiling water, so one hand must remain free. This can't be done using a manual eggbeater. I used my gift card and bought the Cuisinart Advantage Plus. It fit comfortably in my baking station cabinet. I used it for the first time last night to make quick desert of left-over heavy cream to top blueberries I got on sale. No mood to use an eggbeater so I tried my new Cuisinart mixer. It's so easy, just insert whip attachment, plug it in and "away we go." A push of a button and the attachment just pops out, easy wash and put away. Love it!
Cuisanart products the best.. went back to my second one after buying another brand very disappointed with. Has 9 speeds, resting point and easy for a left-hander!
Quality, sturdy hand mixer at a good price. It's much better than the $30 mixers out there. It makes mixing cookie dough very easy and cleaning is a breeze. I'll be using it for baking, whipping cream, mashed potatoes etc. One tip: let beaters run for a few seconds in the air before putting it on the lowest speed to mix ingredients. Then you won't have an extra mess to clean up.
I really like my mixer. The storage feature is great. I am happy with the attachments. It does a very good job. There is only 1 problem. When I turn the mixer on , it starts at a fast speed and then slows down to 1. I have to be very careful.
It's not as good a I expected. Says starts with slow speed. And 9 speeds aren't that different. But, not as slow as it starts. Should have gotten the 9 speed Turbo II I have used that in past. The info on this one sounds the same and was cheaper. Should have realized.
There are two distinct negatives about this mixer and clearly demonstrate that the product is not truthfully advertised. You say the mixer is "as easy to stow away as it is to use." Not only is it not easy to remove from the storage unit, but even more difficult to place it back in place within the storage unit. The storage compartment simply is not large enough to hold all the attachments and the cord at the same time. Should definitely be larger and the advertising changed. Also you state it has "SmoothStart feature to eliminate splatters," when in fact just the opposite is true. If you start the mixer with the beaters in your bowl, rest assured it's going to splatter your ingredients everywhere because there is NO SmoothStart feature. When turned on, the beaters begins at a very high speed and then slow to a normal #1 speed. This is definitely a design flaw that needs to be corrected. Aside from these two things, the mixer works great. Handles a lot of different tasks with different thicknesses of batter ingredients. Has great power. However, because of the quick, fast startup of this mixer that splatters your batter everywhere, I would not purchase this mixer again.
This is the second mixer I have gotten in less than six months. The first mixer had a cord that completely frayed at the connection between the mixer and the cord. The raw wire was exposed. They replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately the new one tipped over on my granite counter top the 3rd time I used it and the on/off button (plastic) broke in half. Again, the customer service was excellent and the replaced it, but it was inconvenient to be without it for a couple of weeks. It is not a particularly sturdy mixer but does do the job when it's operable. The self storage under the mixer is a plus since it is easier to store. It is not an appliance I would recommend, especially when you use it as often as I do - at least 3-4 times per week. There are better products out there for reliability…
