The Culligan faucet filter is Consumer Reports' number one. Why is it, then, that stores only carry Pur, which often falls off because of their latching system? You should also offer the in-store customers the very best product. Culligans.
I've used both PUR, and this Culligan faucet filter. I like them both, but PUR wasn't available when I needed a water filter. You will immediately notice sweeter tasting water. Also, MUCH better tasting coffee. For best results, make sure you change out the filter every 2 to 3 mos. w/normal use. This is because the filter gets clogged after awhile. However, it only costs about $5/mo. So, well worth it. I am very pleased with the install and use of this faucet filter. I have had the base for about 8 mos., and get this new filter ever 2 to 3 mos.
I am very pleased with this filter. We had been ordering these from another retailer who had been sending out faulty filters (having to be replaced after only 1 month!). I'm so glad I found this filter on Walmart.com. The quality is top notch and the one that we ordered has lasted the right amount of time so far!
When I moved to Chicago, I was struck by how bad the water coming out of my faucette tastes and smells. I've been using these filters for the past 3 years. The water no longer smells, and it tastes like water should taste. I don't know if it filters out the toxins but, at least it tastes good.
I change it out a couple of times a year, and have beeb using them for three years. I beleave it is one of the better filters around for the price. Easy to install, and gives you great drinking water.
After following the recommendation on Consumer Reports, I couldn't help but agree with its findings. I would recommend this filter based on ease of use, taste, and value. You will not be disappointed.
Filter replacement was easy and filter works as promised. The housing has an automatic valve to revert to the open faucet when shutting off the filtered water. This failed soon after purchase. Makes it a pain to remember to manually shut off the filter, otherwise happy with purchase.
Difficult to get old filter off and replace with new one. New one leaks a little. I may end up replacing the entire device next time since the filter costs $11 and the filter with device costs about $16 (only $5 difference)
I bought this for my bathroom after having bought one for the kitchen and discovered that it fits the bathroom faucet as well, using one of the provided adapters. It was super easy to install, and it is performing very well, and the water tastes good. I did not rate it on durability because I've had both of them for a very short period of time. I would recommend this to a friend.
I bought two of these directly from Walmart and they were great. I noticed a big difference in water taste and quality and there was a noticeable reduction in flow, as if the water was really flowing through the filter. I bought a third through ProMax Commerce and the taste was back to the nasty water I had before and the water ran through the device full force. I don't know if the filter was damaged in transit or what but it's not like i need to deal with troubleshooting... a water filter (yes, I confirmed the filter was seated in the housing properly).
