this is a HOUSING for filters, not an actual filter it is big and strong, definitely heavy-duty the In/Out holes on either side are 3/4", so you'll have to buy some connections/adapters/bushings/compression fittings (since most water lines are 1/2") i got this, then got the filter from- http://www.filterpros.com/p-893-pentek-cbr2-10-155268-43-under-sink-5-micron-with-lead-reduction.aspx rock on
