I live in a town where the city has to flush the water once a month and treat it bleach and whatever else; which makes my skin dry and I get hives. Just about everywhere I have lived, I have used this shower filter and it works wonders to soften the water and lasts for a good 6 months. Its reasonably priced and I am very happy with it!!! I have also tried other shower filters, but the Culligan one has been the best by far and the easiest to manage.
I was looking for a better price for this Culligan replacement filter. I was surprised to find it here at Walmart.com. It was a great price and fast free shipping to my local Walmart store.
I had been purchasing my replacements through HSN when they decided to discontinue offering the Clean & Pure filter replacements for my shower head. I tried the Culligan as it looked just like the Clean & Pure - works perfectly! I am so pleased.
This is a replacement filter for the Culligan Shower filter. It really makes the water from my well clear and free of the iron in it. The replacement was easy to install. I would love a whole house filter but until I win the lottery I will keep buying the replacement filters. I would recommend this to anyone who has hard water and lots of minerals in the water.
This replacement filter keeps chlorine out of your shower water if you so desire, and it installs easily. Keep in mind that when it clogs from sediment before its life is over it may simply be inverted and rinsed before putting it back in place. Many complain over its seemingly short life span but failed to read what I just mentioned, which is stated in the included instructions.
The best thing about this & the Filtered Showerhead it goes in, Culligan WSH-C125, is it doesn't get clogged up and there's plenty of water flow for a nice shower as long as you replace the filter every 6 months as recommended. If there's multiple people using it maybe a little sooner. My original purchase of the showerhead was at Ace Hardware.
If you have sentitive skin this is the product for you. Been using this shower filter for over a year now, very satisfied with the product.
The kitchen faucet lasts year plus, but the shower filter only lasts about 3 months. I've even tried waiting to turn shower head on until ready to get in; doesn't matter. So, for those 3 months I've got squeeky clean hair/skin. Time in between filters I itch, itch, itch, because of the chemical sensitivity. City water is as bad as cigarettes!!! I love culligan filters! They work!!
Shipped in a lightweight bubble wrap plastic envelope, the product's box was crushed and open inside the packing. Very poor selection of packaging. Not confident product is undamaged.
The ad for this shower filter states that this is a Culligan WHR-140 Replacement Cartridge Shower Filter. I've purchased Culligan WHR-140 filters for years and these are cheap knock offs. These filters are not manufactured by Culligan. They do not come in the proper box and do not have any of the normal Culligan signature stickers or labels. The stickers on this filter says "Ice
