easy to put in, water is lots bettery.
The best water filter by far. Most others restrict the water flow if you use it with a deep water well. This filter is my second in 20 years. Totally outstanding.
I got two of these for a whole house application. They are installed together in series; one with a 5 micron filter and the other has a 1 micron filter. The first one gets the big stuff before it gets to the second one, extending the life of the more expensive 1 micron filter. The clear part of the housing allows you to monitor the filter condition so you can replace them when they need it. Another other nice feature allows you to shut off the water right there without the water draining out of the system. That keeps air out of the pipes as well. There are less expensive filters without these features. You could also pay more if you wanted but this is the best in my book.
I installed this on my sprinkler system that is fed by 25 psi. irrigation water. It and a CW-MF filter works fantastic! 2 lbs of differential pressure across the filter. I changed the filter after a month of watering every other day. So far, no plugged sprinkler valve bonnet screens. I am very happy with this product and would purchase again.
Great for the price! Clear housing makes monitoring filter condition easy. Seals easily and shut off control is much improved over older units. Would like it even better if it came with a mount bracket.
This was easy to assemble on the water line into the house. Because I use 1/2 pipe I had to purchase reducers because it has 3/4 openings.
I have not used this for drinking water. I have a bad sediment problem at one of my customer's locations. This filter is used to remove that, before it reaches my equipment. It does a good job at that. Con: The only way I have been able to get the connection threads not to leak using the water-hose type connectors, is to permanently seal it. Pipe tape doesn't seem to work.
I have had several whole house water filters and this one is the easiest by far to cut on and off, only down side is that it does not have a "bypass" on it.
I like the shutoff bypass .
it leaked at 70lb pressure, then the top broke off,never buy again.
