Picked up this #vegan cream cheese as my partner is lactose intolerant. Perfect texture, creamy and spreadable. Flavor has notes of coconut (which makes sense as that's the base) but overall a really wonderful cream cheese replacement for anyone. For the price and decent taste, I give Daiya cream cheese 5 stars. The consistency is so close to regular cream cheese, which is impressive. It melts nicely in recipes to make things creamy and delicious. I always recommend Daiya products to others, because they're pretty affordable and the taste is convincing!
Daiya products definitely do have a different taste to them. I personally like it quite a bit but there are some people that taste the flavour and don't like it at all. The best thing I can recommend with Daiya products is to just try them and see if you like the taste.
So I purchased this to try. Not quite sure what I would think. But this morning I made a bagel and used it and I was wonderfully surprised. It was delicious! It is great to have an alternative for us vegans. It is more money that regular cream cheese but definitely worth it to keep my eating lifestyle.
Do not have a picture, but this cheese cake is amazing. Very creamy. Taste like you are eating a real cheese cake. Package was great, no issues opening it. The ingredients are readable and clearly marked dairy free. I give this product a 10.
its not great. sometimes i like to mix a few cut up jalapenos with it and liven it up. but the taste is so far from cream cheese when it is cold it is sad. when you heat it up however it is so good and it really has a great creaminess to it. so it is really good
Pretty good for a dairy-free cream cheese, but not a fan of the ingredients. Most alternatives have more of a cream cheese flavor, but this definitely has the closest texture. I probably wouldn't buy this again, because there are other alternatives with better ingredients.
I'm typically not a fan of Daiya products but I've been looking for a cream cheese alternative and unfortunately this product also did not have good meltability or spreadability. The texture is just too clumpy and doesn't smooth out. I found other brands that I prefer better.
I'll be honest, this is pretty un-tasty stuff. My wife and I have been looking for a suitable non-dairy cream cheese substitute, and I gotta tell you this ain't it. The flavor is perplexing and off putting — I licked some off the back of a spoon and had to run to the cabinet to find something strong enough to replace the awful taste in my mouth. It tastes nothing like cream cheese. Maybe it works ok if it's baked into something. Maybe the flavored varieties are better. Who knows, but I am certainly not interested in finding out.
I had high expectations for this. I hoped it would be just as good as vegan cheese but this.. I can't even describe the taste fully. I guess you could compare it to a fake cheese salty garlic with a helping of feet. It's awful. It made me want to vomit honestly I was so sad. It has this weird fake cheese foot kind of smell and it tastes how it smells. It has a good consistency and nice color so it really does resemble cream cheese BUT the taste is so far off and just offensive.
