not only does it keep dampness away but it makes the room smell great ,another thing I noticed when I hung a pack in my attic ,no more stink bugs and I was plagued with them before ..... maybe they don't like the smell ,but for what ever the reason ,I'm happy with this product .....the room is dry, smells good and no bugs ...all pros and no cons .....
Gets moisture out of basement, pleasant fragrance.
The product works very well. It removes the damp musty smell quickly.
I keep them hanging in my dishwasher as well also under sink and closets. leave a fresh sent and no mill due smell.

Fall and winters in Seattle are full of mositure, so are our closets and cars at times. DampRid Hanging Moisture Absorber, Lavender Vanilla - great scent, so are the citus. we hang them in the all closets and in the older car. The absirber is a 2 part system. The beads are in the top and the clear bag in on the bottom. Easy because you can see when it is time to change the bag. No mess or worry about spilling the liquid, it is all contained in the sealed bottom bag. We trust this product and recently bought 10 boxes to carry us thought the fall/winter. Great price - lowest at Walmart so far.
I have a small, windlowless bathroom which with the fan going it seemed ok but as a precaution to any moisture accumulating I hung this a few weeks ago. It is collecting water and the bathroom smells nice. I will be purchasing again.
These are for closet but I use it for my bathroom when I shower. You would be surprise as to how much humidity there is in a bathroom!
I would give this no stars if I could. This is an awful smelling product. I just walked into my garage where I had hung it up and was overcome by the terrible smell; it immediately irritated my eyes and throat, and I got an instant headache. I'm throwing it outside into the garbage pail right now. DON'T BUY THIS product. Don't buy something just because it's on sale.
