I purchased the item for the first time to drown out the noise from very loud neighbors. The apartments have old hardwood floors so the sound is more excessive than with carpet. The earplugs do an amazing job and everyone should purchase these if they are having issues with unbearable noise. Even more enticing was that they were only 80 cents for a pair of five.
