Burnt some chili tonight. 1/4 inch of burnt on grossness. Soaked it twice scrapeing it between soaks. After the second soaking I was able to scrape the rest of the crud off. Wash as normal and it looks better than before I put in the chili. Thanks for a great product!!! LOVE IT
This Dawn Promises and DELIVERS!! It truly does an overnight soak in 5 min. No matter what I have cooked It takes it off with EASE!! It also Lasts a long while because you truly do not need to use a whole bunch to get the job done. This truly is hands down the BEST DISH SOAP I HAVE EVER USED!!
I HATE scrubbing dishes, I have a bad back and can't afford to waste time scrubbing when I only have about 10 minutes of dishwashing before I get a spasm. I also hate soaking overnight, then the water's all cold and gross and... you get the picture. This stuff is GREAT! I had an old meatloaf that didn't come out right (oops...# and it had all sorts of baked-on nastiness, plus, it had been sitting in the fridge for at least a week and a half. Enter the Dawn Oxi Stuff. I "soaked" the dish for roughly one minute while I rinsed some others, and everything slid off without me even having to use the scrubbing side. I was blown away. It also makes the sink WAY easier to clean, and I suspect has a beneficial effect on the garbage disposal, too. GET IT. FORGET ALL OTHER DISH SOAPS. It also smells lovely #I got the berry one).
This product works great on dishes, but is also the only thing I've found that will clean my makeup brushes the way I want them to be cleaned! I used it after using a makeup cleaner on my MAC brushes, and it instantly made the white tips white again, and took all of the foundation out of my brush. I also use this on stains in clothes before washing. I love this soap!
I work in a deli at a grocery store so when we ran out of our regular dawn soap I went out in the store and saw the Oxi.The smell was great(berry).This stuff is the best I have ever used.I wash a lot of dishes each day and no scrubbing is a plus.I will be buying this for my home.Now if we could get a spray cleaner that smelled this great and worked the same!
I have never sang the praises of a product before, but this one warrants a response.. II am very frugal Told my wife to buy the cheapest she could find. When she brought this home I was curious why she got this. Too expensive I said.....Until I discovered that a couple of drops would do the same job as a quarter bottle of the cheap stuff.Last twice as long, A great value!
OXI ROCKS!!! even get off cooked on rice off of stainless steel saucepot in less than 5 minutes, WITHOUT SCRUBBING!! for someone who hates doing dishes as much as i do, Dawn Oxi is like someone ELSE doing all the hard work!!!
This review is about your article "Saving Resources And Energy Costs". I read this article after reading your article on how to hand wash dishes. It seems to me that using cold rinse water for glassware after washing the glassware in the hottest water can be dangerous. I know from experience. Too drastic a temperature change will cause the glassware to crack and sometimes shatter. Not only will you lose that glass but risk cutting yourself too. Then there is the task of disposing of the broken glass and starting over with fresh water so you are not washing dishes in glass shard filled dishwater. Maybe the article needs a common sense edit.
I just finished washing the dishes after our Mother's Day feast. Of course I splashed some suds on my shirt as I washed but I always do. This was the first time using Dawn Platinum Oxi and I found out that the soap suds left bleach spots on my blue polo shirt. The shirt is basically ruined. As a cleaning product Dawn is great, but I will never again use the Oxi version unless I'm wearing an old, ratty T-shirt. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Bought the Dawn Oxi as Dawn no longer makes Dawn Odor Eraser. Very disappointed in the Dawn Oxi. Not worth the $$. Will continue to use regular scent Dawn--seems to work better. Still miss the Odor Eraser. Seems companies eliminate the stuff that really works. Loved Odor Eraser for everything.
