My son love super hero’s and really wanted supergirl. When he got her he was so happy with how she looked. I thought that this toy is very well made and very awesome for both boys and girls. He has so much fun playing with supergirl. I think that this toy would be a great toy for any child who LOVES superhero’s. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Perfect for little hands.
So awesome! Kid loves it, and they hold up well to play. Only critique is - why do the hands come off? It's a small part that is a potential hazard, and all of the dolls in the line have the same issue. Other than that, we love them. Costumes are well made, doll is nice, and happy with purchase overall.
My daughter loves DC Super hero girls and she was so excited when I bought SUPERGIRL!! It was so easy to open unlike some other toy brands. This is the perfect doll to play with at home or on the go. The glitter on her red skirt does not come off on things. Her cape is a hard plastic material that snaps into her back and stays in place. And easy to remove and put back on. My 7 year old liked the doll a lot. She liked the flexibility of the arms and legs for play and that the doll could stand on her own. Clothing and the doll seemed durable for play and it looks exactly like Supergirl on the tv show. The only drawback was that her cape was hard plastic- thought maybe it would be fabric- but it does pop off if that is a concern/issue for anyone. Very cute doll and my kiddos loved playing with it! You can remove all of her accessories (hoping other outfits will be available for purchase!). Her hair was very stiff initially and has gotten a litte wild with play. Do wish her elbows and knees were jointed too (only her wrists are jointed) as this seems to limit play. Also wish her skirt had glitter on the back as well. Her face is paint is very well done and she's a fun size to play with the other dolls in the house! I selected this one for my daughter, since she's really into super heroes, and I'm trying to foster that. Here are my takeaways from this toy: 1) there's a lot of strange going on here...from the weird hard plastic cape to the weird plasticy hair. The movable hands are kinda creepy too. 2) I was hoping for more "action figure" than "doll", since this was a superhero, and clearly I was mistaken. This toy is perfect for a super hero whose only job is to stand around and look pretty, but is ill-suited to kick butt. This *really* bothered my little girl. Long story short, while this isn't a bad toy, it's decidedly average. There's nothing that really makes it stand out, and this doll has already made it's way into the pile of other random dolls within a matter of days. Arms and legs don't bend. Only the hands. The hair smells weird because of something used to stiffen in the hair.
