My 6 year old boy loves all things Super Hero, especially the new Super Hero girls. His favorite is Batgirl, but he was excited to be able to get this Supergirl locker set. The full and locker were larger than expected. The xray function was really fun. He likes playing with this figure and his larger Justice League action figures. My daughter loves the DC Super Hero Girls Locker set.. The doll, skateboard, locker and accessories came along in the set and all are pretty durable. You will need to add a couple of batteries to the locker piece before being able to use the interactive feature between the doll and locker (which is what really sets this item apart, and adds to the fun factor). My daughter enjoys dolls, but sometimes doesn't stay engaged for long periods of time. This was different. She even loved it enough to take it in the car during long rides. Her younger brother enjoyed many of the features as well. The accessories that come with the doll add to the imaginative play and the backpack really does open! The cape can be tricky to keep on Supergirl unless you line it up just right. Overall, this is a very interactive and fun toy and we recommend it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Both granddaughters (age 11 and 3) enjoyed playing with this set TOGETHER. They were very entertained by watching the doll activate the locker with her "super powers". I have been extremely happy with this product. The second it came in we surprised my daughter with it and as she is already a fan of D.C. Super hero girls she was ecstatic. Everyone loved this toy! It came with Supergirl, a large locker with 4 doors, and 4 smaller accessories. The doll is actually bigger than I expected. She came with batteries installed for the button in her back to activate the locker. The locker requires 3 batteries. When the button is pressed and she faces the locker, one of the top doors will light up revealing the contents inside (her "x-ray vision"). The doll also has removable accessories - two bracelets, her boots, and her headband. The boys actually really enjoyed playing with this toy. It held their attention, and the only trouble was keeping them from fighting over who got to press the button. They would put different stuff in the locker and enjoy lighting it up. They ended up finding other small stuff from around the house and putting it inside also. Overall, I think this is actually a very fun toy for both girls and boys. The doll and locker are larger than I expected and seem well made. It held the kids attention and allowed for creative play. I would definitely recommend to my friends. My 6 year old received this and is very into 12 inch dolls, i.e. Barbie, D.C. Superheros, Disney princesses. She enjoys playing with it especially the "magic" part. It doesn't keep her interested for more than 15 mins. It comes with supergirl and a school locker with a special function that when the doll is near one of the lockers and you push a button it lights up the inside of the locker and you can see the contents. I recieved this prduct free to try from Mattel. Its my daughters first super hero doll and she loves it. Her favorite part is all the details, her cape, removeable bracelets, bask pack and lap top make the doll fun to imagine with. The locker toy is really fun for her, and using Super Girls xray vision causes lots of giggles. She loves the little squishy alien bad guy and hiding him in the locker. The doll and her outfit are very well made and durable, and high quality, I can tell they will stand up to hours of play. The dolls hair is easy to style as well. So having a little girl see a stronger female character is really nice. The doll is pretty sturdy and well made, but I don't like that the arms are not bendable. This is not a deal breaker, but it does take away a little from playability. The sensor worked great, as long as it was faced right at the locker. The outfit is nice enough, but I didn't really like the skirt as it made it hard for her to sit correctly. She also had a little tough time standing on her own. The cape was a bit small for my liking, but not really an issue. The shoes are super cool, and she has actual feet with toes! The accessories and locker are all well made. The skateboard seems a tad bit small, the laptop would have looked better with a sticker on it, and the bag is fine. The locker though is amazingly cool! The "X-Ray" vision is the highlight and was the most fun thing about the playset. It takes 3 AA batteries which it did not come with. I like that it will shut itself off when not in play. This toy was entertaining for my 6 yr old. Pros of the toy: loved the little trinkets that fit in the locker, thought the X-ray vision was very cool. She also loved the look and size of the doll and the pieces that came with it (gave the toy more play time) Cons: loud, doll isn't able to sit easily, wish all the clothes were able to be changed.
