I was very satisfied with this bench from Walmart. The price was reasonable and the product easy to assemble and seemingly well made. My front porch is a lot more attractive now that all the kids' rollerblades are hidden inside this nice storage bench instead of being strewn all around the front door!
great bench, with lots of storage... looks nice on front porch..concerned about keeping it out in the weather...seems to "swell" when it rains and the bench lid is hard to lift because it rubs against the sides...other than that great looking bench!
Love the size of the storage. Product is much darker than pictured but I like the darker color. I am pleased with the product and having it shipped to the store for pick-up was easy and fast. Thank you.
This is the ideal bench for the active family. It can store everything from sport equipment to BBQ and gardening supplies. I have even used it has a barrier to separate various activities.
Like someone else said, it is a bit darker than in the picture... it looks like a chocolate brown, really, but I like it a LOT. We got it for our living room instead of a love seat because our apartment is so small. It really takes just one person to put it together until you try to attatch the lid, then you really ought to have someone to hold the lid while another person screws. And as one review said, the screws WILL strip, but it's not AS bad if you use an electric screwdriver. My bench is very stable and secure, regardless. (Just don't plan on taking it apart after you get it together.) Great product.

The color of this bench is a lot darker than it looks in the picture. I personally prefer the darker color. It is nice solid wood bench. There was one slat that was stripped off the screw but it was for the inside bottom and it was easily glued. Also, one side of the bench lid sits up a little I am not sure if it is the way we put it together or the wood. Either way, it is a nice looking bench and it is the best for the price.
I was very happy to find the delahey bench as I required a larger bench then usual to store my porch chair pillows but I wanted something that looked nice. When it arrived and I opened the box I was immediately pleased with the quality and color of the wood. The directions were a little hard to understand but workable and they provided more then enough hardware to put it together. The only downside was that the screws to secure the cover to the box were small as were the drilled holes in the cover so they were difficult to place and because the wood is of such good quality, they stripped with tightening and because the screws were placed in a straight line and striped with tightening, the cover is not as tight as I wood have liked.
First of all lets make this clear,bench is only 160.00 bucks. Bench is much darker than pictured more of a Chocolet Brown.Wood Quality O.K. not the best,radius on handles rough and not finished,back rest would not assemble,had to remove right side and drill two holes,because of factory defect should have been opposite from left to right no holes for back rest,now I have two holes to fill in front.Overall so,so, solid when assembled needs some touch up,I would recommend this product for the price not bad.
Product is priced well but there were some annoying problems with assembly and appearance. First the stain/color advertised is not what you get. Instead of a golden amber stain I got a chocolate stain. Big difference in what I thought I was getting and what I got. Second construction assembly has problems. I had to chisel out a piece of the benches interior so it would fit together properly. Also screws that attach hinges lid to bench snap due to the fact that the pre-drilled holes they insert into were filled with stain. I had to re-drill holes to keep screws from snapping. Overall good product they just need to advertise the correct color and pay more attention at the factory to insure pieces assemble correctly. If you buy it be prepared to make some modifications.
