This chaise lounge has the features and workmanship of luxury outdoor furniture without the $800. price tag. They have the look of fine teak. Arrived with a generous coat of teak oil already applied. Wipe before use to avoid oil stains on you clothing. Site to store was convenient and saved $200. or more in shipping charges. This chaise is oversized. My husband is 6'5" and weighs 250lbs. and he finds these quite comfortable and sturdy. Very easy to manuever around our deck. We purchased the Delahey lounge cushions that fit them perfectly and look great. We also purchased two lounge covers and discovered that these loungers can be stacked for storage and covered together by one cover. These lounge chairs are similar in every way to those found at luxury resorts and spas. These came very securely packaged with all parts included and in perfect condition. If you are looking for a lounge chair that will last for years, this is it. We purchased: 2 lounge chairs at $99. each, 2 covers at $16. each and 4 cushions at $25 each (2 for later on. WHAT A BARGAIN!!!! These would have been a bargain at three times that price. We have received so many compliments already on them. We like nice things that will last and are prepared to pay for the quality. This time we didn't have to.
wow, not sure how many of you are familiar with Frontgate or those other "high end" brands, but we bought these as a "knock off". Now, I know they are still expensive, but not compared to those stores. These chairs are incredible. VERY HIGH END. The wood is darker than shown, almost like a teak or light cherry... we love that. In fact, we just ordered two more!
After much research, these chaise lounges are a great buy; and look just like lounges used at resort/spa pools. I love the hidden table. These are slightly larger than ordinary chaise lounges, and need a cushion @ 75" in length for best results. It would be great if Walmart would stock more cushions to fit these lounges.
The look of these chaise lounges is very classy -- and the value overall was excellent. I did compare with other stores and found the features and price of this chaise to be the absolute BEST! It was also easy to assemble and I know I will get a lot of use out of them.
Purchased the Delahey sectional last fall and love it. Saw the chaise and expected it to be just as nice. Not quite. It's a nice chaise, but the finish is rough and not as nice as the sectional, the arms and wheels are wobbly and the directions were minimal. Even so, still glad I purchased it. For $150, it coordinates with the sectional I love and I enjoy relaxing in it. I think a little more attention to quality would have been a good thing. Pros: Comfortable, attractive, good price ($150 on sale) Cons: So so quality, not sure if it is built to last.
I had the same experience as another reviewer whose chair arrived damaged. A screw had pulled out near the foot of the chair cracking the wood around it. The part that was damaged was not going to bear much weight and the thought of trying to take this assembled chair back to the store led me to make the small repair which is holding just fine. The chair is actually quite nice for relaxing on our deck. We haven't had any further problems. I think a bit more packing material might solve the damage problems but I don't have a clue who to contact about that other than mention it in this review.
Great looking - easy to assemble......at first. I am in my third year with two of these loungers and wishing I had invested a little bit more and gotten a better quality product that will last. We may get a few more years but that remains to be seen. This season I had to remove the arms - too many problems, have not continued to operate like when new. Too many small parts to fail. The chairs actually look MUCH better without. Two of the wheels are beginning to fall apart - literally. The wood is simply coming apart in pieces on the wheels in question. The wood supporting one of the push in/out tables underneath has split and will no longer support the table so we removed it. I have treated the wood about two times a season [used in the summer in Michigan]. We cover them when not in use. They have aged to a nice gray. They generally look great from a distance and even up close. However, small quality issues all over. The back of the chair [on one] no longer 'fits' perfectly. It is a little warped, so raising / lowering is not smooth. Fair product for the money - but when I factor in shipping it was too much to pay for a product that WILL NOT LAST. I should have anticipated it for the price, but they seemed like such a great deal I had to give them a try. {we paid $189 each + another $200 shipping}
I purchased 2 of the Delahey Loungers and used the free shipping to the store. When I picked them up I noticed the boxes were damaged. So the Walmart employee and I inspected them and 1 of the loungers was damaged. I returned it on the spot and took the other home. When I put it together I noticed a support brackets was missing and apparently was ripped from the wood and split. needless to say I will be returning this one also. Poor packaging and handling.
I ordered two of these chairs. They came with the factory hardware falling out because screws were stripped and the holes were too big for the hardware included to assemble with. One of the chairs has an area of wood that is completely split on the seat (Did not see until after assembled). The arms are flimsy and won't stay up, the first time my 4 year old daughter touched it the arm fell right down. Needless to say these are getting returned. Very dissappointed. Wish I would have not wasted the time and energy of putting these together. Now I have to haul the junk back to the store fully assembled.
We were so disappointed with these chairs. We orded 2 and both were damaged when we got them. We returned them and plan on buying something else. We were upset because we liked the chairs and the price was good. I guess you get what you pay for.
