I've been ordering refurbished computers for my businesses for several years now and by far this is the most professional of them all!!! Computers were sealed and wrapped perfectly. The units were as described and pictured which has always been a major issues with some other vendors. Others show the unit you wanted but then ship you something else. This is a true Dell Factory refurbished computer. XP Pro disk included and preloaded with NO pre-installed ad garbage like AOL or Free Trial stuff. A true professional machine ready to be put to work. The Site-to-Store was free and arrived 2 days earlier than promised! If you need Pro refurbs for your business then this is definitely the place to get them!
I like l Dell computers and this one was preloaded with Windows XP. Purchasing a new computer comes preloaded with Windows 8 and I feel that its to early to switch to Windows 8.
I am very pleased with this machine. It is all that is advertised plus. It's quiet, efficient and fast. I would purchase this computer again and with the one year warranty it's a good purchase.
Was hesitant about buying a refurbished computer but for the price it has turned out to be an excellent purchase. My son helped me get the network up and running and have no problems. He stated this is the easiest yet as all my computers are using XP and it was a breeze getting them all together. This being my first Dell I only have one complaint...there isn't a volume control on the keyboard which I really miss. The Dell keyboard and mouse came with the purchase and are working well. The CD player is great and also the burner works great . I rate this a 5 star purchase.
So far it has exceded expectations. Additional USB ports would be nice. Pretty much a zero learning curve on operations. Very, very quiet. Downside, no information or requirements on installing additional drives or memory or any other documentation you might require.
Why buy new? These older units are plenty fast. These are are clean with many new parts. It is only 32 bit system, but I loaded Windows 8 with all the memory my older unit needed. I bought this FOR the memory! Works great. All fans and disk drives are quite. Well done!
My 'old' Windows XP system "crashed"... this was the only way I found to return to XP rather than up-grade to Windows 7 or 8 ! Only problem SO FAR is that my existing speakers are NOT working (no sound !)... have yet to determine whether a "sound card" was installed... with the proper 'drivers' ???
This product was not a mini pc & was not happy with the product , it was bigger than my own than I have already & heavier too . I would not recommend this PC to anyone . The description should have been large & not mini & it went back to the store for a refund as the store wouldn't give me credit back onto my credit card . The management did not know about the refund policy but had to take the product to another store close by with no problems with that store that knew about the policy . These management needs to be more trained to know the store policies so that the customer wouldn't be running all over town trying to get a refund .
Dont do it...when I finally downloaded all the microsoft updates, which was a day long process, I finally go to use my computer and there is NO sound. NONE. Plus it had a very annoying program running called strongvault. It was horrible...I couldn't get rid of it for anything. I tried to system restore 4 times and it would not restore..So i tried unsuccessfully to delete the program from the add or remove program section and it would NOT remove itsself...I took it back...while at the customer service desk they told me that people return the on line computers ALL the time. A worker at the Office Depot told me that after April of 2013 anyone with windows xp will not be able to use their computers anymore as it will no longer be available ...So on that note I am waiting to see what I can get on black friday which is around the corner...
I receved the computher in good order and fast shipping. When I hooked it up It fired right up and started as it shoud. Thit is were it all ended. I could not go on line at all. I called the service number given with the unit It took a day and a half to get them on the line 4:00 pm est. The service rep. had me use the reboot CD that came with the computer He told me it would take about One hour to do this. About a hour and a half it quit and was asking for the CD with the msn updates on it none came with it. They close the service dept at 5:00 pm. I Called again the next day which is day three talked to them again I was told that it should have updated automaticley (Sp). and i was missing the drivers. I was told he would copy the drivers and send them to me. All I had to do ws put them in and everything would be all right. Two day's later they came and nothing happened execpt I could get on MSN only not the web. You only have 15 days to return a computer back to wal mart. They took it back without a problem.... Support was poor and hard to get a hold of. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FROM DELL ITSELF AND DELL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM....JUST SAYING.
