I have assembled various pieces of furniture over the years I was amazed and pleasantly surprised at how easy this 4 drawer chest was to assemble. Everything except a Phillips screwdriver is included to assemble this product. It is made of wood and painted white. All of the pieces are precision made and all of the holes for the hardware lined up perfectly. The hardware was each in its own plastic pouch according to size and type. The drawer knobs were also individually wrapped for extra protection. A small pack of extra hardware including an extra knob are included too. The drawer slides are already installed onto the appropriate wood pieces making assembly easier and taking less time to do so. The drawers have a wood support underneath making them sturdier and less likely to sag. The back is a wood panel on bottom and a thinner but sturdy panel on top of back secured by 16 small screws (not tacks or staples). The top is one solid piece of wood and heavy. The chest is assembled first and then the drawers. They slid into the chest very easily and everything lined up perfectly. A tip over restraint is also included with this product which may reduce, but not prevent a tip over. The instruction booklet was super easy to understand and the illustrations were clear. They even have a video assembly tutorial if needed. The one minus is that there are 5 screws showing on each side of dresser. I assume wooden plugs weren't included because this is a childrens dresser and they would be considered small parts. I intend to paint them white so they don't show.
Definitely worth the money and was very well packaged. If you are on the fence about buying I honestly recommend. I put it together myself in about 2 hours
This can be as easy or as hard as you want to put together, it all depends on if you will read the instruction booklet that is included, before you start mixing and matching pieces and parts. I read the booklet and got a good friend to help me once it got too heavy. The frame is very sturdy and the drawers are a little lighter. There is a support bar that runs under the middle of each drawer to prevent future sagging. There are also metal drawer guides and safety stops so the drawers glide easily and do not fall out. Another safety feature is the wall anchor so the chest will not fall over on someone or something. With all of that said, the Delta Children's Cambridge Mix and Match 4 Drawer Chest is a beautiful, smooth surfaced, sturdy and roomy chest of drawers. The color, Rustic Bianca is a more antiqued looking color than just plain white.
This chest of drawers does have a lovely textured finish but I could not get it to show up on my laptop camera. Each of the four drawers is 14 inches front to back and 5 inches tall. Plenty of room for clothing and such. This chest comes with a wall anchor to attach the chest of drawers to a wall. That will avoid any tip overs that could injure a child. The instruction booklet will show you how to attach the anchor. It has four roomy drawers with metal guides that have safety stops. The measurements are a little over 32 inches wide and 19 inches depth (front to back) and a little over 41 inches tall. I received the white chest of drawers and it is very pretty. Not shiny, kind of a matte finish. I love that the legs are just high enough to use a dust mop underneath. Took a while to assemble, but all the holes lined up perfectly and all pieces needed to assemble were in the box. Very sturdy piece of furniture that will last for many years. Also, the manufacturer suggests you put heaviest items in the lower drawers and not to put anything on top that is heavy and could tip over (like TVs). The instruction booklet has useful information and also tells how to clean the chest of drawers to keep the finish looking pretty. And there is a phone number in the instruction booklet should you have any questions.
I have been very pleasantly surprised by this dresser. It's very heavy and well-constructed - far better than any other piece of furniture I've owned that requires assembly has ever been. If you're accustomed to assembly, this dresser will pose no challenge to you. I did it from start to finish in about two hours. As it states in the instructions, swap the drawers around (except the top one) to get the best fit. I was sad that the first drawer I assembled fit wonky until I moved it to another space and it fit perfectly. I am however, thinking that I received a hardware package that was designed for a black dresser. I'm using the dresser in a room that's predominately black and white, so it works...but am thinking it's not as it was designed to be (see the side of the dresser in the photo). Great piece of furniture that should last me for many, many years!!
I got this dresser for my son. It arrived very well packaged. It had so much packaging that it took 30 minutes to unpack. There was styrofoam everywhere but I'd rather have to clean up than have a broken dresser. The manual and parts were labeled very well. It took about two hours to put together. The dresser itself is not high quality but good enough for what I need it for. It is a nice dresser overall.
It was quite heavy and hard to move in to the house when it arrived. Difficult to assemble on your own but easy to do with a second set of hands. It looks good, would work well with most themes and color schemes. And seems to be nice and sturdy.
Once it's all up, the dresser is great for any bedroom. It doesn't have any features that I could see that make it specifically for a kids bedroom vs a regular bedroom. It comes with tons of pieces and the directions aren't as clear as I would like. Ideally, I would purchase a dresser with minimal assembly required. Even if the drawers would be pre-assembled, it would probably have been a big help. This was a 3-4 hour project. Now that it's up, it looks nice and is a good size. It comes with a good amount of hardware and wasn't missing any pieces. My daughter loves the look of it and it can store most of her clothes. It has 4 drawers.
This dresser is almost perfect. The color, the size, the roomy drawers. The only problem is closing the drawers. Horrible. They have to be closed by pushing carefully from the middle of the drawer or it comes off the track and won't close at all. Past my return period so basically I have a great looking dresser that doesn't function properly.
Poor quality. Flimsy! Looks nothing like the Providence. I was told colors would match, they do not! Could have gotten a much better piece at a garage sale site! Extremely disappointed! Poot craftsmen ship and paint job. Would not recommend.
