We bought this bassinet for our second child that we are adopting. For the price, I was expecting something sturdy and functional but small and kinda plain. It is SO cute, and very sturdy. It's actually longer than I was expecting too, so the baby has room to grow (lengthwise). The music is a little tinny, but we are wanting to use the vibration more than the music for our little one. It didn't take more than 20 minutes to put together, but like other reviewers have suggested, it would be easier to align the support beams with another person helping. I would definitely recommend this bassinet.
I received this bassinet as a member of the walmart spark reviewer program and i have to say i am very impressed. To start there are very few pieces making the assembly not less than a breeze. It took me about 25 - 35 minutes because the base out of the box was a little non-responsive so it took a little nudging to get everything aligned (If you assemble with two people it would take less than half the time... i highly recommend this). The frame is very sturdy and the bed support is good. I really like the design of the bassinet. The "flowish" look of the crib skirt gives it a very vintage feel. The canopy is my favorite with the dangling two teddy bears. In addition the crib has an additional component that makes the crib vibrate (helps for soothing so you don't have to constantly rock the crib back and forth), plays music (also helps to sooth the baby or at least grab attention), and also a night light. The added component also has a control for the volume of the music and level of vibration. The sides of the interior of the bassinet crib is lined with a nice soft material. The bed is a typical baby bed, it looks very thin and flimsy, and is the only thing i am not very keen on out of the entire product. Also the white color is nice but would have preferred a more lively color (possibly a mix of white and baby blue, or other nice combinations). It has wheels for easy movement and the bottom compartment is great. Overall, great wonderful bassinet... a must buy.
Easy assembling. Neutral color. Big basket store everything my baby needs so I don't have to make runs in the middle of the night to baby's room. Vibration and soothing music.
I received this bassinet from Delta Children for my review. All opinions are my own. My family was blessed with an incredible surprise when earlier this year I found out that I am expecting baby #3! I have struggled with infertility for so many years and this happy surprise was so unexpected and has warmed all of our hearts more than words can say. So I was very excited to receive the Delta Children Gliding Bassinet Garden Gate. I always have my babies sleep in a bassinet for the first few months after they are born. I like having them right next to my bed, not only does it make night time feedings and diaper changes easier, it also provides me with peace of mind having the baby close by. It comes in pieces in a box, so you have to assemble it. It wasn't terribly hard, the instructions make it simple. It took me about 40 minutes to put it together by myself (and I'm pregnant). If you have someone help you I think that time could be shortened significantly. Once assembled, I love the look of it. I like that the colors are very light and subtle so it will look nice in any room. This bassinet has 4 wheels and can be rolled for easily moving it from one room to another. The wheels also lock into place if you want the bassinet to remain in one spot and not move. You simply lift the lever on the wheel up for rolling and press it down to lock into place. Another great feature of this bassinet is that the bed part glides from side to side. So you can soothe baby with a rocking motion. If you don't want it to rock (or glide) you can lock it underneath using the red levers on each side. The canopy can be opened as well as closed. It has 2 adorable soft white bears for baby to watch. There is a music module that connects to the side of the bassinet. It has a soothing night light you can turn on. It plays music and sounds (wind chimes) and you can adjust the volume level. Additionally it creates a vibration the makes the whole bassinet vibrate which can be nice for soothing baby. You can adjust the vibration level as well. It requires 4 AA batteries and they can easily be replace on the bottom of the bassinet, so you don't have to remove the module to put fresh batteries in. There is a big basket underneath the bed that can be used to store diapers, wipes, blankets, etc…I like that it has a divider in the middle to keep items separated as well. Having this sweet bassinet is making me even more excited for my little bundle of joy to arrive in Nov. or Dec.! I really like it and can't wait to see my adorable baby sleeping in it.
I loved this bassinet as soon as I took it out of the box. The colors were subdued, kind of a gray and white...would go in any room. It glides but has a locking feature which makes it easier to move. It has so many features for a bassinet of this price like it plays music to help your child get to sleep. It also comes with a night light and it says it vibrates but I couldn't tell if that was true or not. I did not feel any vibration. Maybe it wasn't working on this one. One thing I didn't really like was that it said it was for babies up to 15 lbs, which doesn't give it much use time. Bring home a 10 lb baby and you are not going to be able to use it for very long unless that's just an extra precaution but I wouldn't want to take that chance. I think it is worth the $80 if it wasn't for the shortness of use situation. I like that it has a large storage area underneath for baby items making it easier to get stuff...you have it right there. The top folds completely down making it easier to take the baby out and for cleaning. Also included in the box was a sheet and a 1" pad so it's ready to go right out of the box.
Ease of assembly and product appears to be stable with safety features
It has worked for us since we brought her home from hospital a few days ago. I like the shelf on the bottom as well.
The colors and design are beautiful! The price is very affordable. The gliding would be better if it was electronic instead of manual, like how the vibration and music are battery powered but you have to push the bassinet the make it glide, and continue to push it. The assembly also was not super easy
Looks great and will work perfect for our newborn. It was not the easiest to put together. Some of the parts didn't line up, so it was frustrating to piece together. Once set up though it works nicely especially for the price.
I got this heft as a baby shower present. My husband and I started to put it together when we realized none of the safety straps where attached to the bassinet lining. We checked the packaging to see if the straps where there and they clearly where never added.
