I was surprised that it was not heavy like the Rubbermaid I've been buying for years. I was a little leary at first that it might not stick to the tub, so I got the tub wet then layed down the mat and stepped onto the mat and stepped all over it to press down the suction cups. After a week and a half of use we are very happy with this mat.
I bought this for my guest bathroom. It covers 95% of the bottom of the tub and does not move once its put down. After a shower just hang it on the rod on the back wall of the tub. Haven't had any mold or mildew yet its too new. I don't think that will be a problem. Great item and value for the price. It only gets used when I have guests. I have another mat it the stall shower for my daily use. Both are great.
First you must wash it in the washing machine so it is not slick. Then it is the best mat6 we have ever had. Fits tub all the way. Very Safe.
Purchased this after my fall in the tub...decided it was time to be safer in my own home. This mat looks good, washes nice in the washing machine and protects me from falling. Should have bought it years ago.
I've had lots of mats before but this one hands down is the best!!! It sticks to the tub well and the bubble lumps I stand on were wonderful!!! They feel nice underfoot and there is no slip-slidding around, and it's easy to clean. And it is big, going from one end of the tub to the drain. Everything a bath mat should be!!!
This mat stays in place and looks great. The feel under your feet is nice. It is long which keeps my feet warmer in the shower when I move away from the water to soap up. The hair washes to the drain, unlike some mats that collect hair and you can see if there is any hair under the mat to clean out. My hubby washed it before using it with a sponge and soap as someone else suggested to keep it from being slippery. Great buy!
This mat exceeds expectation. It will cover a large area. It was longer than I expected. It fit my claw tub to the T. I have always had a problem with mats not being long enough. I had a great fit when I took a nice long awaited bubble bath. If you have a long tub, this mat will not disappoint.
The mat covers almost the entire bottom of the bathtub but I wish it was a few inches wider. It cleans up easily with plain dish soap and a little elbow grease or can be put in the washing machine. It did have a very strong plastic/rubber odor to it when I first got it but the odor dissipated within 1-2 weeks. It is a great deal for the price!
I purchased two of these mats, because I was going to give one to my grandson for his bathtub and replace a small one in our tub. I really like the bubbles, because they are comfortable on the feet. And the length is great, but it falls short about 6-8 inches, allowing for some movement. I thought it was going to fit the entire tub. It does fit the majority of the tub space so I am satisfied with it. My grandson loves his. No more slipping and sliding in the tub for him.
I guess my 60year old cast iron tub has textured over the years and this mat does not work for bathtime with my toddler. It works fine for showers and gives my feet comfort, it just doesn't work for the main reason I purchased it. I would recommend it for shower purposes only.
