It is too short and too high for knee support. You are better off using a firm pillow, but it is perfect for resting my feet and hills. So I kept it.
This ankle/leg cradle is perfect! It's firm enough yet soft on the skin to hold both legs together on the bed.....no slipping side to side. It stays put and gives security to the bed bound patient. It's just what I was looking for to keep my husband in the center of the bed.
I liked this pillow but it was a little too bulky so I choose to only use one half instead of the whole thing. Works well but if opened velcro snags on blankets.
Only complaint is that the velcro that holds the sides together needs to be of better quality. The side of the velcro that the hooks catch pulls apart too easily resulting in the velcro not doing anything. You can buy velcro and sew it on to repair it but would be better not to need the extra effort. I'd rather pay a dollar more for better velcro to begin with. I bought mine a while ago, so it is possible they might have upgraded the velcro, but I wouldn't count on it. I use this product to keep my sacroiliac joints lined up while side sleeping. I find it best to position it above the knees since direct pressure bothers my knees after a while. The memory foam is nice and stiff so you don't have to worry about it deflating over night. The cover is washable. No problem with it getting sweaty so it is breathable enough. But, without good velcro the 2 sides don't stay lined up enough and have to adjust it during the night. Sometimes it can be uncomfortable because of this.
