For a small entertainment 4K receiver this was an excellent decision. The set up was easy to follow and I liked the Audyssey speaker configuration for auto calibration. Plenty of inputs plus supports 8k for the future expansion. Sounds amazing and I like the speaker manual adjustment. As with most center channel output including different brands it tends to be a little to quieter with the voice. Priced a little higher but quality comes at an extra price. Look forward to years of great service!
Got this receiver to upgrade an old 5.1 Harmon Kardon AVR 146 which was over 15 years old and making some buzzing noises. This receiver was easy to install and setup. I like the way the speaker connectors are aligned straight along the back panel. All of my other receivers stacked them in multiple rows on top of each other and made them more difficult to use. The sound quality is excellent! The HEOS features enabling you to access radio stations around the world is cool but I doubt I will ever use it.
This is just perfect for replacing the 25 year old Denon receiver in my bedroom. The old receiver was still working like the day I bought it but I was updating the TV so thought it a good time to get a more modern receiver. It was very simple to set up with the on screen guide that walks you through step by step. The cat was even amused by the tones emitted while setting the surround sound EQ. It sounds great and I am very pleased.
I ordered a refurbished model. Very happy with it - looks brand new and functions perfectly. And I love the features, especially being able to stream to it from my iPhone - even if the system is off, selecting it as the streaming system turns it on and you can completely control it without even being in the same room. Only quibble would be the on screen display for set up and options looks pretty dated. Still works fine though
This is a great receiver for those making the effort to enjoy the newer tech features like gaming at 4K @120, as well as those who want to watch media with the newer presentation formats.
It does everything it says perfectly. Bought more speakers just to get the full experience and set up was easy. It also works great with high end tv's. If you really want to control your consoles through hdmi with your remote it supports it. If you need to change surround settings cause of fuzz or static it does it quickly. I would recommend this for sure.
Fantastic 4k receiver!
The set up is simple and quick. I use a 7.1 speaker configuration. 75w is powerful enough for a large room. Upscaling looks good (4K, haven't tried 8K) Dolby Atmos sounds good. The only thing bad about this receiver is the reason I had to buy it, a Denon update bricked my AVR-940H-R.
I cant use HDMI Arc for TV sound to pass thru in the AVR. my TV is a LG 85" size. I did everything in the setup both TV and AVR, looking also in various websites and you tubes. I knew I am doing it correctly, but still in vain. Dont know what to do now?
Things that should be ok out of the box were not with this Denon AVRS760H Receiver. Even after Audyssey set-up it sounded terrible! My wife commented that it sounds like a part was left out during assembly. The sound was hollow, tinny, lacked any depth and the volume was very subdued. I mean I had to turn it up to 70 to hear the people on TV. Denon AVRS760H never recognized my new Samsung Oled TV, although I connected the TV with a new certified ultra high speed hdmi cable with ethernet through eArc. I had four devices connected to this receiver (all with new high speed cables): Roku Ultra, Firestick 4K, Samsung Blu-Ray Player, and Apple 4K TV. The only device that gave good sound through this receiver was the Apple 4K TV. I read many many online reviews and watched many Youtube videos on this receiver. I did all the troubleshooting suggested that could improve the sound and hand shake issues of this receiver. I called Denon customer service. They suggested the troubleshooting I had already done. The Sony I replaced for this Denon sounds SOOOooooooooo much better! The Sony sounds live, crisp, and engaging with bang/boom!! Thankful, I did not get rid of the Sony! Conclusion: I would not keep this Denon if they gave it to me. I returned my example. I've always admired Denon from a kid to well into my adult years. My opinion has changed.
