I actually love this product. I am not sure why so many people have left average or below average reviews. Since it is a tinted moisturizer/bb cream, it isn't going to give you heavy coverage like a regular liquid foundation will. I think people assume it will, and that's why they are disappointed in the product after they use it. That aside, I personally like light weight foundation which is why I chose this product. It goes on sheer and it doesn't even feel like it is on your skin after application. If you need more coverage, you can always finish it off with a pressed or loose powder. The skin tone works out great for me and my favorite part about this item is that it is SPF 30. I also can apply it to my face with confidence knowing it won't clog my pores and the ingredients are natural.
It took me awhile to figure out how to apply this without getting a cakey streaky look. It's got a pretty good consistency however dry skin beware it will cling to any and all dry patches you may have. I tired it over my derma e charcoal moisturizer but it rubbed it off like what happens when you rub dry glue off your fingers. Overall I used a bb cream brush for the non dry patched areas and lightly patted the dry areas. The coverage was good, light and not greasy.
I do like this product. It is just the right shade and I love that there is mineral sunscreen in it but, because of the tint, I don't have to spend 10 minutes trying to get the white to absorb into my skin. That said, I find it a bit drying. I solve the problem by adding a drop or two of argan oil which gives my skin the glow I seek. If it were a bit more moisturizing, I would buy it by the bucket. As it stands, it needs a little help.
Light coverage but not quite as effective at evening out skin tone as I'd hoped.Better than any tinted moisturizer I've tried, and certainly a lot less "mask like" than regular foundation on my very fair skin. Like hat it has SPF 30 built in - saves me one step in the morning.
I just don't like this product as well as others tinted moisturizers. :( It has great light coverage and color (Fair) was a great match. But the product pills as I rub it in. This is either because of the primer it contains or it doesn't work alongside the serum (Derma E Vitamin C) any eye cream I use prior to application.
Although the color matches my skin tone perfectly, I was very disappointed in the application of this product. I've tried it with a moisturizer under it and without but no matter what it pills up and comes off.
I was so excited to try out this product - love everything about derma e, but this was a total flop. This product does not apply well at all. Does not blend no matter what you do. I've tried applying with a beauty blender, brush and have even resorted to using my hands/ fingers... NOTHING WORKED. It either would disappear completely or get patchy. I even tried miking it with my normal foundation just to see if I could find a way to use it at all. Also settles into fine lines, even after setting with powder. Sad to say I will have to put this in my beauty graveyard.
I was so excited about this product, but unfortunately it really missed the mark for me. I love DermaE--this is the only product I've EVER used from this brand that felt like a total flop. This BB cream does NOT blend out, no matter what I tried--fingers, beauty blender, brush--it dries down super fast and is streaky/pills right off. It's impossible to get any type of even coverage. Given how matte and dry it gets as soon as I put it on my skin, I'm not sure how this product could be moisturizing ,but in fairness I haven't been able to leave it on my skin long enough to really find out. I tried and tried to get this to work because I wanted so badly to love it, but alas...this is an no-go for me.
I so wanted this to be a new holy grail product for me. Not only is the shade range dismal, the formula is garbage. It streaks and pills no matter how I try put it on. I used my fingers, a beauty blender, and a brush. I have fair skin and this was far too yellow. Derma-E definitely needs to go back to the drawing board with this one and come back with a better formula and a better shade range.
The shade fair isn't even close to being fair. It oxidized so bad and turned orange. Not to mention it was so hard to blend in nicely without looking Cakey. Made my skin feel gross also. Hard pass on this BB cream. Need better shade range also.
